((crazed Okami fan.... I looked at some of the posts and i must say I only found two people who like the game. I might need to have my picture sized so it fits the character bar.... DRAGON GODS WORK AT IT NOW! XD))

Mate: Did have one... but he died

Hatchlings: ONE!

Personality: Quite laid back, she has a weird habit of gobbling up her one inch friend Issun, and has a horrible habit of falling asleep during long speeches. She hates baths and swimming but when there's a fight ... BOY can she fight

Appearance: Look at the profile picture... on the profile cause its way too big at the moment

Strength: She's strong, and has the ability of making firestorms with the flick of her black tipped fur tail

Special Powers: Her tail also counts as a brush and the ink is magical and can bring up the power of divine power like ... water, ice, fire, plants, wind, cherry bombs, power slash, rejuvenation mist (that slows time for a few seconds) catwalk (yay walking up walls) and thunderstorms (the ability of making lighting Shock an enemy).

Weakness: When an eclipse happens it can drain her powers and she loses her brush techniques and when the sun sets Amaterasu seems to just get tired and/or fall asleep

History: Amaterasu came to the world from the Celestial Plain after it fell to demons and a dreaded eight headed beast called Orochi. The Celestials left the Celestial Plain on a boat called the Ark of Yamato but many monsters appeared slaying the Celestials, hence the ark of Yamato landed in the land many dragons now live in (AKA here). This made Amaterasu the last of the Celestial kind so she took the form of a dragon to escape death. She has been traveling the land for many years and she's now found herself here.

Mother: Amaterasu
Appearence: Looks just like amaterasu same coloration same markings same everything but his eye color differes to being blueish black
Personality: Shares the same personality as Amaterasu but it differes from the falling asleep all the time part
Strengths: Even though he's VERY young he is quite strong and will help his mothers friends in their time of need
Special powers: Has the same ability of the celestial brush as amaterasu that he controls
History: Born by amaterasu... need i say more?

okami is a game that you can buy for the PS2 PS3 and WII you play as a white wolf whos the goddess of the sun the game is based of japanese mythology like yamata no orochi issunboshi (issun is your companion in the game) and you go around learning brush techniques and useing them to restor natures beauty into the world trust me if you buy the game it will be worth your time and money! the soundtrack is awesome as well!

yep amaterasu is in the game but shes a wolf not a dragon and you PLAY as amaterasu!

thats the japanese name the english and american name is Okami

and in mythology amaterasu does have the appearence of a female and she's called a girl alot in okamiden and once in okami
