Echo and pyr meet (pricate with pyr)

Echo was cold, as a year of being on her own she was barely making ends meet in surviving. She found herself in a chilling environment that seemed to get colder by the moment. She never been to a place like this and she was wary. Her wings were stronger now and no longer dragged the ground as bad, but still she could not fly for she was never taught how to use them. She sniffed under a nearby bush and found some roots of a plant and ate them greedily. Her fur helped her a little but still the cold seeped through to her bones and she shivered here and there, but still she walked on like she had for a a year after leaving the place she was abandoned at. A dirft of white floated down and landed on her nose and melted, she found this quite interesting as she not unknowingly went a little farther onto the other side of ice wing territory, she knew not the boundary's or the laws that governed this world, she was abandoned the day she was hatched and knew nothing. But learning quick with her instinct she survived enough on things and learned what she could to just barely survive and she would keep doing so. She avoided any of the smells of the flying things in the sky, some like her and others not, they were too similar to the thing that was there that dark night. She wandered on, finding the ground to cover in a light layer of the white fluff, it was colder and she shivered more but after inspection of it melting she found it to be quite fun to play in and soon instead of being black she was covered in a light white blanket that soon melted, she bounded around unaware of any dangers that could be in this area playing in the freshly fallen snow...

Pyrrhus walked through the outskirts of the Icewing territory. He had visited it recently to check how things were doing, and like usual, it was near desolate. Maybe they would wisen up and repopulate, but who knows? Maybe dragons weren't as smart as he thought.... He quickly dismissed the thought. Thinking like that would only lead to trouble.

The little reptilian kept walking, listening to the empty sound of the snow falling accompanied by the crunch of it under his feet. It appeared to be just him and the animals today, normally he'd see a dragon or two here but, it was strange... Then he looked up.

In the distance there appeared to be a hatchling, all on its own? Why would they leave it like that? That didn't make sense at all... Unless its parents were around. It appeared to be playing in the snow, but didn't look native to these lands at all. It sure wouldn't last long out here by itself, nor would its parents if it wasn't an Icewing.

Pyrrhus decided it would be best to watch it from a distance, just incase its parents were around. Dragons normally didn't like him, especially when they had young with or near them. Crouching under a tree Pyrrhus looked on, making sure the hatchling wouldn't get hurt. If it did so happen to damage itself, and its guardian saw him near it, the reptilian would surely die.

Echo soon grew bored of the white fluff and moved on, exploring all around. She dove into snow drifts only to emerge on the other side covered in snow with a glow to her face. She raced around trees trying to figuring out where the clumps fell from. Her red mane and tail were bright and visible, her tail wagging almost like a beacon in the stark land. But soon Echo was starting to become to cold, she wasn't made for this environment.

Her feathers on her wings were moist from the snow that melted on them, weighing her down, and they felt weird on the hatchlings back. Her paws were becoming sore not made for the sharpness of ice and frozen land, and there behind her, bloody tracks started to appear. And her fur was chilling to a dangerous temperature for a hatchling not made for this weather, her fur wasn't conditioned to repel water and soaked it in like a sponged without the important oils.

Echo stumbled and fell a couple times, she didn't want to play no more and wanted to leave this place, her maw opened to cry out for her parents but like usual no sound came, and she knew no one would come.

She went to the closest tree and sat against it to try and hide from the wind. Her wings laid at her sides heavy and cold and numb while her paws left spots in her tracks and hurt. she sniffled and shivered, and again called out, her instincts calling for her parents, but yet no sound or parents came, and none would. She sat and shivered and barely noticed the scent of something real near, something she never smelled before, but the wind blew it away before she could try to find it, and her eyes down cast as she sat to bear the wind...

Pyrrhus looked on as the hatchling went about. It seemed full of energy and excitement at first, then appeared to become tired and slow rather quickly. She seemed cold, which fit the current situation quite well. She would die soon without the help of her parents, that was given. With that said, where were her parents?

Things then soon started to appear dire for the little hatchling. It started to leave behind bloody paw marks, a crucial weak point for the poor creature. Then it appeared to let out a cry, but he couldn't hear any audible noise. Was it speachless? Could he not hear it?

Using a whiteout of snow from the gusting wind he moved closer to the hatchling. He hid in a tree downwind from it so they couldn't get a scent on him, and he could observe them if needed. If the situation got worse like the hatchling began to freeze or became unconscious, he would step in and help. He was well aware he could strike it at any moment, but that wasn't the kind of person he was. He wanted to do good, but didn't want to risk the chance of being caught and possibly attacked if this hatchling's parents decided to show up.

Silently the little reptilian watched the hatchling, prepared at a moment's notice to help it if it got worse.

Echo stood motionless against the tree she was leaning on as she got colder and colder and sleepy. She wanted to move but couldn't, and she didn't understand why. her eyes were becoming hazy and her light blue one with the weird symbol became a dull grey in color. Her fur hung limp and her ears laid dropped, and she couldn't no longer hold herself up, as all six of her limbs felt frozen. She collapsed to the ground, a puff of white drift engulfing half her form. She slightly moved and curled up but lay still, her breath becoming slow and shallow....

Pyrrhus looked on as the hatchling began struggling to live on. No dragons were around... It was a rather peculiar situation... He would have to act soon though, and that's what he did. If he didn't save the hatchling in the next few minutes it would surely die.

Moving quickly the reptilian ran to the hatchling. He picked it up swiftly and ran into a cave nearby, out of the wind. He rummaged through his bag, taking out all the things the hatchling would need. He wrapped it in a cloth while he started a fire. It started off slow and eventually got bigger with the little kindling he carried.


The reptilian grabbed a stone axe like object from his bag and quickly ran outside. He came back minutes later with more wood. Quickly making the fire bigger for the hatchling, he unrolled the blanket, allowing the full heat of the fire to be felt with no insulation between. It still lay on it of course, allowing it not to touch the cold floor.

He went back into his bag and pulled out a hunk of dried venison steak, setting it next to the hatchling. He then put a tripod of sticks above the fire and put a pot onto it. Grabbing snow from the floor of the cave he put it in the pot till the amount of water it produced satisfied him. Then Pyrrhus took out a small bag of tea and put it in the water.

Pyrrhus wouldn't know if the hatchling would like it or not, but it was worth a shot. He took a small amount in a iron cup for himself then backed away from the hatchling, letting it recover.

Echo felt only the sensation of swaying as she was unknowingly picked up. She barely felt a few jostles as the reptilian ran to a nearby cave. At first her limbs remained cold and numb but soon they started to warm up, slowly but surely. She was rapped in a cloth and she never felt something like it before, she stayed curled allowing her body to slowly warm. She felt tired but she slowly started to feel a little better. When the blanket was unfolded she laid still for a few more seconds before raising her head. Her wings and fur had started to dry but still remained damp. But the full heat of the fire was quickly warming them.

She sniffed out the dried venison that was laid next to her, giving it a curious sniff she thought to ignore it but as her diet was not the best for a hatchling she gingerly nudged it with her snout before giving it a lick, deciding it was tasty she grabbed it and pulled pieces off to swallow. She was soon done and lick her front paws.

At this time she finally eyed the reptilian, though she didn't know this was what it was. She didn't feel threated as her instincts didn't let off any bells, she still stayed weary. She watched as the figure grabbed a object and filled it with some liquid from the pot. She cocked her head at it. She was soon completely dry and Echo sat up. She wrapped her tail around herself and stared at the reptilian. Quickly she grew bored and spying the bag she wandered over to investigate it. Sticking her head into the bag she pulled out any objects she found, before long she was halfway into the bag, her rear end sticking out and her tail swaying back and forth. She didn't bother none of the object having no interest in anything. She crawled into the bag even father before lying still a moment before sticking her head back out to see what the figure was doing. Maybe it was her lack of being taught but she felt no fear from the figure. The only thing that seemed strange to her is it walked on two legs. She opened her maw to call to it, turning her head to the side. She exhaled through her nose loudly before staring at the reptilian again.

Pyrrhus went to grab a bowl from his bag to get the hatchling some tea. When he went to his bag though, he didn't find anything. Instead all his belongings lay scattered on the ground and from the inside of his bag a hatchling's head popped out. He let out a grumble, he would now have to pick everything up.

The Reptilian took the hatchling out of the bag and put it back in the blanket. One by one he took each item on the ground and put it back into the bag, returning it to the place it was in before. After that he tied up his bag so the hatchling couldn't get back into it. He could tell this was already going to be a hand full...

Pyrrhus sat down against a cave wall. He folded his arms and tilted his head down. Eventually he soon found himself drifting to sleep. Trying his best to stay awake he shook his head. But he couldn't fight it, he needed sleep when he could. After all, he never knew when the next chance to sleep would be. Gradually he fell back asleep, leaving the hatchling unattended.

Echo was having fun inside the bag, it felt warm and safe. But soon the reptilian came over and removed her from the bag placing her back in the blanket. She watched as he picked up all the items she had drug out. After he was done he tied the bag up and went to sit against the wall. Echo watched as he shook his head fighting off sleep.

Soon Echo could hear the steady breathing of slumber. She looked to the entrance and watched and watched. She soon grew hot and left the blanket once again and looking at the bag once more she went over towards the reptilian, the bag was Echo proofed. She went over to the reptilian, slowly advancing, at first she observed him for real this time, she never saw something of the like really he had a fur covering but after shoving her nose into his hand she found scales underneath. Unlike her she sported no scales underneath and maybe this was why this coldness bothered her.

She soon explored every inch of clothing and inch of body of the reptilian. She soon started growing tired, and slowly climbing on top of the reptilians lap she curled up. She watched the entrance and watched but she soon drifted to sleep, sleep clamming her young and tired mind.
