Looking for home

Noctissa was roaming away from her fathers den today. Unlike Draken, Arkhor, and Asvania, Noctopie didn't go into the water that much. Sure she liked to swim now that she knew how, and sure she could breath underwater now after Arkhors blessing or whatever it had been that he did; but the little nightwing hybrid liked flying and stalking the land creatures more than the sea ones which were all much faster than her. She couldn't figure out how to hide in the sea though eventually she might learn, and swimming was not an area where she was talented in. On land and in the air though Noctissa was becoming confident. She could jump up and glide now without crashing. Turning in the air was easy for the child too, but the best thing she liked to do was try to go higher. The higher she managed to fly the more exhilarated she felt. Hunting little creatures and bugs also made Noctissa happy because she could actually catch them if she tried.

Her little wings stayed rigid as she glided down form the tree the girl had been climbing up. Her little eyes gazed at the land below and in front of her as Noctissa tried to glide farther than she had the previous day. At least the beach was warm and the sand was soft whenever she made an error while gliding and attempting to fly. The coconuts and other fruits made nice snacks too when the dark dragon was hungry. Noct had no idea that she wasn't alone on the edge of the forest and beach today though.

(BUMPIDY BUMP)

As Draken had fixed himself up recently, trying his best to ignore the fact that most of his children were gone, though one did stay. Noctissa was his favorite by far, though he hasn't been spending much time with her, only because he was always busy. He was now King and a lot of things got in his way, such as plans, festivals, meetings, ceremonies, etc.

Though, today, he wanted to go spend time with his little Tissa, really badly, as he didn't want his only remaining child to leave. Draken moved plans to another day and made sure that he had nothing else to do, except to spend time with his daughter.

Draken left the underwater palace, assuming that she would be on land, as he knew that she hadn't quite figured out her gills. He soon dove out of the water and onto a beach, he had only hoped that Noctissa wasn't back at his old den, as that den was now abandoned because he was no longer a Nightwing. To his surprise, he spotted Noctissa on the edge of the beach, he was relieved to have spotted her and slowly walked over to her. A smile on his face. "Hey Tissa! Guess who's open for today!" he said, happily, knowing that he would hopefully once again be able to play with his daughter.
