The Nightmare

This is a horror based RP site, much like the movie silent hill. this takes place in the here and now, but not in this world. no one knows how this world came to be, no one knows how they got here and NO ONE KNOWS how to ESCAPE the NIGHTMARE.

Many say this world was the architect of the devil, the things... the... creatures here are so horrid they are said to be the spawn of hell itself. here people fight for their very survival, danger lurks around every corner, in every window... in every shadow...

here the people have but one rule, and that is to STAY IN THE LIGHT.

here you can chose two paths, that path of LIGHT... and the path of... SHADOW.


PROLOGUE 1 - It's just another day for you, you are on your way home when you are stuck behind a red light that seems to never change, you are stressed out enough work has been hell today, it is late and you are tired you just want to get home have dinner and go to bed. you have you window half way down as it gets stuffy in your car. the light finally turns green, just as you about to head on your way a woman runs op to your car her hand making a thud on the window, she catches you buy surprise, you look at her, she is wearing old grey rags, she was old and pale. she looked like she came straight out of the 1800's.

the look on your face sends a chill down your spine as she utters a phrase.

"stay in the light," her words spoke as though she were frightened half to death.

You step on the gas and take off, a few moments later you look in your mirror and she is gone, no one on the sidewalks, as though she just vanished.

you finally get home almost completely forgetting about the creepy old woman.  you head in and find a note on the table telling you your dinner is in the microwave. after downing your dinner you hang your work jacket and head up to bed. your wife is sleeping on the couch, you don't bother to wake her as you head up the stairs. you flop back in your soft bed and close your eyes taking a deep breath. then you here a whisper

"stay in the light," it sounds like the old lady.

at the same time you feel a breeze frush over you and your bed sudenly feels hard and itchy. the voice had startled you you open your eyes and sit up. butterflies overwhelm you as you find yourself in a ruined foggy old building..... (to be continued by you)

PROLOGUE 2 - "We are everywhere... we are coaxing thought in you mind... we are the darkness in your heart... we are the shadows around every corner... Watch us fly into your heart, darkness will swallow you whole!!!”

You are the spawn of this world, born bred to kill, you have no remorse, no guilt no love for the living, you are maniacal, you show no mercy you fulfill you masters will, darkness is all you know.

“We have always been... we were here first!!!... we have been watching as you build your toys... We have waited centuries for you... but you have come to us animal's caught in our snare, we will sing to the music of the gurgling of your ripped throat... death will beat its wing's for you... there is now way out... not... for you... you can never escape the darkness, it flocks you always. ”

You are the shadow you are the crawler, lurk around every corner, you stalk your prey, you lure them into the dark and you strike.

“A grate wave of darkness will cover your land... We will snuff out every last light, smother every breath from every mouth, and stop the beating of every heart!”

Here you stalk the living, you cut the throats of flesh and watch the crimson river flow... you wait for the time you have all longed for, you wait to return to your roots, the land your ancestors were exiled from.

“Dead fingers talk, dead fingers whisper, dead fingers claw at one million eyes!... You try to run away, but you are made of sand! You are coming apart between our fingers... Petals, falling into the river. You are the flowers the children will pick and cast into dead water.”

You stand sentry at the gate you keep the sheep checked, you are the shepherd and the wolf the gate will always remain closed with you.

“It doesn't matter if you leave. We are inside you. Your heart, your lungs, your thoughts will all be blackened.”
