Reunion (Private with Koal)

It had been some time since she had seen his scaly form, the adorable hair which he had pulled back (it really did suit him when it was out) and the warmth from him. She longed to see him again, but her King had tightened control of the tunnels. But still, Ella wanted to see him. She managed to squeeze her way through the security systems, wanting to wander with her thoughts.

That was where she was now, her tail dipping occasionally into a river which ran down from and through the FireWing territory. She had made sure that she wasn't observed on her way over here and she allowed a sigh to escape her lips. He really was good company... She thought miserably, looking at her rather unclean and somewhat dusty form in the reflections of the crystal waters. Ella had been locked away for a long time, studying her herbs and medications, but her mind always wandered back to him, the strength of his arms around her.. The feeling of his neck as she nuzzled him. She sighed inwardly, she would give anything to meet him again, it felt as if there was a hole in her heart since their departure.

Ever since that faithful day, Koal has been struggling with his lone training, but he couldn't get Ella, his lovely Emerald, out of his mind and it was frustrating him to no end. It would be most cruel to make any effort of riding her of his mind, she was the gleam of his life after all, the spark that had ignited his affection.

"I must see her again..." Koal said mentally to himself as he took off into the air, he must be careful though as being near another tribe's border can rise suspicion and distrust among others.

A realization soon hit him.. How would he be able to see his emerald? Koal highly doubts the guards would let a fire wing through just to see a certain dragoness, would they?

Ella looked at the mountains of fire, a sigh escaping her again. She had pushed her luck coming here so far, and didn't want to step closer-she may be discovered if she did keep on her current path... She sighs deeply, looking at her reflection again.

Tempest had been watching him, he was slack, disinterested, the FireWing lacked motivation for his strokes. But why? Questions consumed her, and Tempest stepped forward, clearing her throat somewhat unleaderlike to get his attention. "What is bothering you Koal, you look as if someone stole something from you-wait, they haven't done that now have they?" Tempest inquired, slightly teasing in the way she spoke. She was concerned, he was much unlike himself right now...

Koal landed straight away before he could get far. "M-my queen?" he somewhat stuttered, instantly getting on one knee, how did he not notice that she was near? Was Ella so much on his mind that he is starting to fail his own surroundings? This is quite an embarrassment even for a veteran guardian like himself.

"Nothing of the sort, your majestic." Koal said with respect in his voice, failing to react to the tease the queen attempted to do with Koal, he remained kneeling there, not looking at Tempest unless requested. "Just...." Koal let out a gentle sigh. "...Love on my mind.." Koal said truthfully.

Tempest looked down to him, her expression unreadable. She knew not if love, never experiencing it since the day she had murdered her family. She did however, remember her strong bonds of playing with her siblings and parents which is what she thought love was. She tilted her head to the side, watching him. He looked in pain, both physical and mental-and he was losing touch with his duties as a guardian. She kept him on the ground for a few more moments, before she allowed a smile to appear on her face.

"Firstly, there is no need to bow like this Koal... Secondly... go and find her once more. I need you to be the best you can be, and ever since you had returned, something had been bothering you.. Go find her once more." Tempest commanded, a bit of a smile on her face as she looked to him. Maybe she would feel like that for a dragon one day, but she didn't know. "And check near the streams, I had reports coming in of a diffence dragoness near there, she has been there wandering for a few days." she advised, before turning away from him with a bit of a chuckle.

Koal couldn't help but smile widely at this, he eagerly got it from his kneeled position. "Thank you, your majesty" Koal said.

He was being respectful afterall since Tempest is the queen. "Dragoness at the streams." Koal repeated after Tempest, thinking about it. "I shall go there now and escort her to safety, either to FW or her tribe, whatever her desired destinatin it is. If there us nothing else, Queen Tempest, I shall take my leave." Koal said.

Tempest inclines her head, before pulling her wings up, "Go and find her then, that is all." she instructs, her powerful wings changing her direction in but a few moments.

Ella poked her reflection again, before nodding to herself. She had been here for a while, the borders of the FireWing territory, it would most likely be for the best if she went home as there was nothing left for her to do. She had travelled as far as she could, any further and she would be trespassing. So she decided that she should head back to her home, and she began to.

With a very heavy heart and her eyes glistening with tears.

"Thank you, my queen." Koal says before doing the same, taking to the skies once more to seek out the dragoness who was at the river.

Moments past and he eventually arrives and lands. Koal's eyes went wide when his sight lands upon the dragoness, his emerald.

"W-what are you doing here? Don't you know the dangers of being close to the border?" Koal askes as he approached Ella.

..Something seems different about him, like he had suddenly grown in power, yet had not noticed.

Her head was hung, slightly disheartened at the fact that she would have to be heading home so soon. It was a shame as she had never met the dragon who she came to see, but seldom things are what they seem. She heard wing beats behind her before she saw them, her head turning slightly to see him.

She couldn't stop herself as she run up to him, throwing her arms around him as she embraced him tightly in a hug. She rested her head against his shoulder, tears forming in her eyes as she couldn't find her voice. His warmth didn't scare her anymore as she held him tightly, nuzzling along his neck to show that she had missed him. She didn't care that she didn't reply to what he had said either.. She was too lost for words.

Finally, after all those weeks, she was able to meet him again.

Koal went into total silence when she hugged him, but eventually his arm wings rose to hug Ella back, it was a dangerous move to come this far, especielly if there were any rogues that travel the borders.

"Ella.." Koal said as he softly stroked the back of her head with his wing's talon.

Ella still was afraid to talk, her voice most likely would fail her as she was overwhelmed with emotions. Sadness, joy, excitement and happiness, all blended into one big mess that she couldn't sift through. For a few moments, she didn't care if rogues had found her, finding him was worth it.

When she felt him return her embrace and stroke her head gently, she looked up at him, tears in her eyes as she gave him a bit of a smile. "Where have you been?" she asked, somewhat sillily, but still, she asked it anyway.

"Training and looking after the FireWing citiziens, it is my duty as a Guardian afterall.." Koal said. He should told her that one fateful day, Koal assumes that Ella's beauty is what made him forget to tell her, he had gotten so caught up in effection and love.

"We're together for the time being, please, there's n-no need to cry." Koal said as he carefully brushed a few of Ella's tears away.

Ella shook her head slightly, before nuzzling Koal. She needed just a few more seconds until she would be able to talk without her voice breaking on her. "There is reason to cry, it has been so long since.. I saw you.. I'm just so.. I'm so glad that we finally can see one another again.."

Ella said, stuttering the slightest amount as she spoke, then took a step back away from Koal, a happy smile on her teary face.

"I have been without you for so long and... admittedly, I was greatly distracted from my work, it wasn't the best thing when you are a healer, so I... well... came here... t-to try and find you again, I've missed you more than I could ever think was possible..." She nuzzled the dragon again, tears welling up in her eyes as she stepped back forward to rest her head against him again. They weren't tears of sadness in her eyes, but ones of joy that she could finally be with him again.

"I've missed you too, my emerald. I couldn't focus on my training with you on my mind, our experience together was far to marvelous." Koal said as he placed his talon back onto Ella's head, saying no more about her crying.

Ella looked up to Koal, her eyes shinning with tears as she tilted her head slightly, "I was distracting you from your training?" She inquired, slightly worried that she had hampered his skills and made him a bit less powerful than he was. "You know.. you could always spar with me-it looks like you need a bit more attention.. with your.. umm..." She trailed off, not really sure where she was going with that sentence, before grinning up at him again nervously.

"We could do that, assuming no one comes across us and mistakes the sparr as a fight" Koal said as he looked off in the distance to see if anyone else was out there.

Koal's attention was drawn instantly when the next sentence confused him a little bit.. What exactly was she going for. He reachs up with a talon, placing it gently around her cheek, he moves closer to her muzzle before giving a effection lick and a kiss. "I'm glad we are together again, my emerald." Koal said.

"So am I Koal.." She whispers, nuzzling him again as she takes a step back, looking around because she thought that he had seen something. But soon, when her eyes found nothing too suspicious, she relaxed again, never leaving Koals' side.

"Is there somewhere safe where we could spar for a little-I can't stay here long as I have to get back home and tend to things.." She explained sadly, her gaze breaking away from him again as she looked down in sorrow..

"Well.." Koal's mind trailed off, thinking of his past training places.

"There is a nice rocky valley I usually train in, perfect to train both the mind and the body." Koal said.

Ella watched as he seemed to get lost in his thoughts, and she rubbed her nose against him slight as he stared off into space, thinking and contemplating the answer to her question. When he spoke, Ella's eyes widened.

Did he really know of a place that they could spar, and we could do said sparing, and then allow me to get back within the day? Could he really know of such an awesome place to spar so close to where they were? She thought to herself, before smiling up at Koal.

"That sounds great,I would love that! Can you lead the way? I don't exactly know where I am going or I would like I did in the tunnels.." She explained a little, referring to the time when they had met. The memories and bonds formed in the wonderful cave were still fresh in her heart.

"It will take a while to get there via flight." Koal said as he pointed with lone talon in the direction of where the valley is. "About five minutes, more or less." Koal said, looking over at her. "I must warn you, once we rearrive there, you might be careful, the terrain is a bit rough, perfect for help you train your mind in being aware of your surrounding area" Koal said.

Ella smiled up to him, nuzzling him gently as he spoke. "Are you sure that I need to watch out? After all, EarthWings know ALL about rough terrain." She asked cheekily, gently poking his muscular chest. His wyvern-like appearance didn't phase her at all, if anything, it added to his appearance.

Not a second after he showed her the direction, Ella took off with her wings, leaving him in the dust for a few moments. Her large green wings took her to the place easily, trying to beat her mate there... but she doubted she could, his strong form was built more for flying than his was..
