Vehumet flew out above the sea. He was tracking a collection of clouds that seemed to hold the potential to become a storm. Ever since the incident 10 years back, Vehumet meticulously studied storms to reach a greater understanding of his own power over them.

As he approached the dark mass of cumuli, he could already feel the beginnings of a storm brewing inside it. If it continued on its current course, it would likely go on to cause great devastation landinwards.

Vehumet, figuring he might as well combine his own research with a good deed, it was unlikely a storm this far out at sea would really hurt anyone that he could think of, He ascended into the soon-to-be storm, gathering winds in his wake as he went, the natural processes that created a storm were already happening, all Vehumet had to do was forcibly speed it up.

Soon, the calm ocean surface was disturbed by the howls of the winds and the flashes of lightning, Vehumet sat in the centre of it all, carefully stuying everything as it happened, unfazed by the awesome natural forces occuring before him. Why would it daunt him, this was all happening beause he willed it so after all.

It was coming up to late evening, Ark was returning from his usual duties and spent some time with Ocean when he noticed a strange storm in the distance, storms did happen quite often in SeaWing territories but this one was different, for starters it was much larger and it seemed to be heading towards the palace. As he left the den he saw other dragons also gazing towards the storm, he chose to confirm its route, diving into the still calm waters he swiftly swam towards the clashing waves.

Shorly after arriving he could now see how large the storm really was, it was immense certainly one of the largest in a long time. Turning back towards the palace it indeed was heading towards the community. He began to worry for the other SeaWings, especially his mate and hatchlings. The blazing winds and dangerous waters would certainly result in destruction, lives could be lost..

Ark swam towards the centre of the cyclone noticing a strange figure in the eye of the storm, it was a dragon! the shape and size resembled a SkyWing. His first thoughts where that it was an attack and had to confront the dragon. So he used his strength to dart out of the water, ascending in till he was at an even level with the SkyWing. he shouted against the howling winds, "Who are you?! and why are you attacking?" As rain drummed against his wings and face.

Vehumet's concentration was broken when a seawing burst forth from the sea, shouting something about he reason behind 'an attack on the seawings'. It took Vehumet a few moments to realise the implications of what he said. How could he make such an obvious mistake, not taking into account whatver might live underneath the ocean surface.

"Oh no, Oh dear no, I made a terrible mistake" He turned his attention towards the agitated seawing, exerting his ower to creat a sphere of relative safety around the two of them in which the storm would not reach them anymore. " Please, forgive me. I though forcing the storm to start prematurely would prevent that what is no doubt endangering your home even as we speak."

the moment the realisation hit him, Vehumet had been straining to slow the storm down. However, stopping a storm required far more control and power than starting one. Control Vehumet had yet to attain. "I... I can't stop it. This force of nature I have wrought has spinned out of my control." Vehumet was starting to panic now. His storms had taken a single life in the past. and it cost him 10 years of imprisonment. what would the consequences be were he to accidentally devastate the entirety of the seawing tribe?!

Ark was confused at first at the response, shocked when the freezing rain and gust stopped bashing his scales, noticing that they where both surrounded in like an air bubble. Ark sighed it was clear to him that the dragon didn't mean to hurt anyone, "Alright... can you stop it?" he asked with an annoyed tone, when the Skywing replied with the negative answer it made Ark worry, turning towards his home again. The edge of the storm was getting close now, he saw the battering waves clashing with the calmer waters. He had to do something... to protect his tribe.

Quickly glancing back towards the stranger, "I will need your help if you want to stop this..." Ark had thought of a plan to save the tribe, but he didn't know if he could endure the harsh environment. But he kept thinking of his family and friends, he had to endure! and protect them.

// btw so you know I plan on having Ark create a dome water shield thing protecting the surface and calming the waters around the palace. Not sure how you can help, I guess giving him energy or maybe weakening the storm since Ark wouldn't last for long. //

Vehumet had given up on his attempts at dispelling the storm. He looked at the worried seawing while thinking his options through. the seawing then said he had a plan ready. "Alright, whatever your plan is, do it fast, this Storm is only going to get worse."

Vehumet then had an idea of his own. "I may not be able to stop this storm, but I might be able to redirect it. If you can direct me to where your tribe lives, I can at least redirect the worst of the storm to go around it." It wasn't a complete solution, but it would probably assist with whatever the seawing was planning.

Ark nodded, gesturing towards the tribe he soared towards his home. Leaving the eye of the storm the winds hit him with force, it was getting harder for Ark to stay in the air. Knowing that he needed to to be in the water for his plan to work, diving close by he resurfaced with the large waves battering his chest, it was getting rough he had to act now before it was too late. Looking towards the skywing, "Alright, try to stay clear and try to redirect it" . Closing his eyes he focused his energy on controlling the water around him, his scales started to glow a light blue. The rain around him started to slow down, in till rising upwards following up with a large dome started to rise immense in size it was hollow, Ark was using it as a shield for the tribe. A few minutes later the dome was completed, covering the surface structures surrounded in the waves. He knew he couldn't keep this up for long he hoped the Skywing could redirect the storm in time, meanwhile he holded pictures of his family to keep his strength up, as pain was being expressed on his face.

As Vehumet exerted hisower to shift the storm's course, however so slightly, the still unidentified seawing commited himself to a very curious manouver. He left the protective bubble and dove into the sea.Maybe he was off to warn his brethren of the impending danger, that was what Vehumet thought until a familiar feeling filled the Air. Vehumet knew this feeling well, for he felt it when he weaved a storm, it had a slightly different feeling to it however. The source of this familiar feeling soon became clear, as the waves were contorted into unnatural shapes, forming a dome above the seawing palace.

Even though the dome looked sturdy enough, the storm would still pass over it for quite a long time. The dome's sudden appearance seemed to indicate great power being put to use, this show of force strengthened his own resolve, and he redoubled his efforts to mitigate the primal maelstrom of destruction around him. It was very straining, but he held on, steeled in his resolve by his desire to see to it no dragon ever died in a storm if he could help it.

Ark was beginning to strain under the pressure, he wouldn't be able to hold the shield for much longer. The storm was battering at the shield but it held, it was resisting the harsh conditions. Opening his eyes he gazed upon the Skywing that looked to be helping, he smiled slightly but not lasting for long he began to feel tired and the pain was getting to him. gazing up again with his drooping eyes he spotted some of his tribe gazing in wonder towards him and the shield. This provided him with a boost gaining part of his strength a surge of energy rushed through him. His glow pulsated strengthening the shield, he hoped that the Skywing was successful as Ark felt faint.

Finally, the storm's power started waning. Whatever hapened from here on out could only get better. It would likely rage elsewhere for quite some time, but here at least, it would not ravage anything. With a final snap back fully into his own body, he detached his mind from the storm and flew out to check on the seawing. Vehumet had quite a questions for the water dragon, but right now, his concern was checking to see if the water dragon would pull through all this.

It was unimaginable what kind of strain he must have been putting himself through up until now, to call forth such an enormous supernatural construt was exemplary of power and conrol Vehumet would very much like to have. Not for personal glory, but to protect the world from incidents such as the one that just took palce from happening. Vehumet slowed his descent towards the water bubble and hovered just in front of its outer layer. "The storm's blown over! you can release your grip on this shield now. We pulled through!

As the Skywing stopped close to the water shield, he heard his confirmation, almost immediately the shield started to collapse as the water rained down back into the sea, Ark also collapsed going unconscious. They where successful in stopping the destruction as the storm was now many miles away in the distance, other SeaWings rushed towards Arkhor trying to help him regain his energy. Circling him they didn't know what to do, the only thing they could do is to get help. One Seawing spotted the Skywing floating in the sky calling up to him he shouted "Hey! Arkhor needs help!" turning back towards the palace he darted to go retrieve Shine.

As the water shield dissapated, Vehumet could see a flock of seawings converging on his improptu ally's location. It seemed the seawing had exerted himself far more than Vehumet had, to the point of unconsiousnes. The other seawings were calling for help, seemingly still somewhat panicked from the fact that their home was just saved by not one, but two gods.

As the seawings didn't seem to be calming down anytime soon, Vehumet decided to act on his own accord. He swoped down to his divine kin, adressing the surrounding civilians while gripping the weakened seawing."Can you all get your act together and help me carry your savior to the healers. It woudl not do him justice to stand idly by as the abyss below pulls him down." The seawings, initially somewhat bewildered by them being ordered around by a random skywing, quickly realized their help was indeed needed, and thus, Vehumet and the divine seawing, whom Vehumet still knew so little about, were escorted to the seawing palace.

Ark was now slipping in and out of consciousness, he felt so weak like all his energy had been used up. As they where taking the injured SeaWing to the palace, the original SeaWing that asked for help dashed towards them, he was successful at retrieving Shine with her close behind. Ark managed to gain a slight moment clarity noticing the Skywing who was helping, letting out a weak whisper "Thanks..."

It was a silent flight that saw the escort of seawings bring their saviours to the healers. Vehumet wondered how bad the seawing had strained himself. He had heard the seawing's name from one of the bystanders earlier too. "Arkhor... Don't you dare die on me now. There is still so much we need to discuss." Vehumet had finally found someone capable of truly understanding how it was to ebe a god, and it would be a ruel twist of irony if Vehumet was also the one that caused the death of this kindred spirit.

(OOC: I see no problem with bringing shine into the eqation. In fact, it would seem like a logical thing to happen after such a major event that leaves such a reputable public figure wounded)

((I have been invited. La La La La!))

Shine had been in the lower part of the public palace throughout the storm, tending to her underwater garden with the help of her catfish, completely unaware of the turmoil above. She had finally given him a name. She had name him Corry. The reference was obvious enough, if the catfish's appearance wasn't enough to give it away, his name would. The catfish had proved himself to be very useful in many ways, specifically reaching small laces she couldn't.
A guard suddenly swam down, and frantically flashed a message in aquatic, Shine's eyes widened when he had finished relaying it, and she flashed her own stripes. The guard looked puzzled by this, until the black cafish swam up and settled itself near her. She had trained it. Then she quickly made her way back to the surface, climbing stairs and racing through corridors, the catfish almost keeping pace with her (on account of the dragoness's clumsiness).
She finally reached where the gathered dragons were, and she pushed her way through, snapping at the people gathered to get out of her way. She had not quite gotten over the loss of her mate, though it had been a while, and her mood swings were still fairly common. On her way, she bumped harshly into a dragon she didn't recognize, and didn't stop to apologize-though this was mostly due to worry. Corry slipped through his feet, wet and slimier scales brushing the newcomer's drier ones.
She finally stopped next to her unconscious lieutenant, and bent down to see if she could hear his heartbeat. She gave a grateful sigh when she realized it was fairly steady, and that he wasn't in immediate danger, though the latter effects could be less than desired. She immediately went to work, allowing Corry to retrieve the herbs she needed from the pocket dimension bad she carried, before trying to get the dragon to swallow them, and she hoped they would greatly lessen the aftereffects.

As the Seawings placed Ark on the floor which was now wet from the water dripping off his body. Shine finally appeared forcing her way through the crowd, Ark was still unconscious from being drained of energy. When Shine forced some herbs down his throat he naturally swallowed them down, as he let out a groan. His eye reopened giving him a blurry view of Shine, still unable to move he managed to slightly smile at the dragoness. In till inevitably passing out again.

The house of the seawing healers was thankfully not completely submerged in the water. It relieved Vehumet to know he would be able to watch over the accidental victim of his ill-conceived plan. There would probably be quite some animosity from the seawings once Vehumet's role in the whole matter was revealed, but the skywing did not care. He would stay and do what he could to help the heroic dragon that now lay weakened on the floor.

It was then that a subtle change occured in the crowd. The seawings who noticed did their best to clear a path, but still, the new arrival had to push her way past multiple seawings. Vehumet did no know who the dragoness was, but she did seem to know the divine seawing that had helped Vehumet save the citadel from disaster. She rudely bumped into Veumet, but he decided to say nothing of it. Now was definitely not the time to be making a scene.

The newly arrived seawing seemed to be here to assist the healers in their endeavours to treat their saviour's extreme exhaustion. Vehumet knew little of herbalism, but it seemed the herbs had a profoundly positive effect. It was a great Relief to the troubled Skying's concience. erhaps now, he could ontroduce himself. Maybe it would calm down the crowd if he explained what had just happened. and with that thought, The skywing cleared his throat.

He would relay the story to the newly arrived dragoness, as she seemed to be an important figure as well. "If I may, can I humbly request your attention? If it's not too much, I'd like to tell you what happened just now from how I saw it." If she would listen, Vehumet would tell her how he created the storm and why he did it.

Shine's smiled at Arkhor's return to consciousness, and at the positive effect the herbs were already having. Her attention was taken when the newcomer cleared his throat, and she lifted a wing so she could twist her head to peer at him from under it, before turning to face him. As usual, the catfish she called her pet settled between her wings after climbing up her tail ,and started up in a steady, bubbling purr. She smiled, and dipped her head slightly. "Sorry for not introducing myself, I often forget those things when I have to heal someone." She said, smiling. "My name's Shiningwater, Seawing healer and mate-" She broke off abruptly, and paused for a few seconds, catching herself and what she was about to say. She finished in a quieter tone. "...And Seawing Queen." She then shook herself, and forced a cheerful smile on her face, though it was a bit too cheery, and was obviously fake. "I'd be willing to hear your story, if you're willing to tell me your name."

As Shine was introducing her self Ark gained clarity again, the herbs seemed to help with giving him energy. Though one of the herbs unknown to him made his throat feel on fire (like a chilli spice), his eyes where open wide and he started coughing, naturally from the burning sensation. While coughing he managed to get back on his feet, still feeling weak he turned towards Shine and the Skywing, "S-Shine... *cough* what was that... *cough*" he asked with a weakened voice. He gazed towards the skywing after hearing he wanted to speak.

Shine's attention was-once again-drawn away, and she looked at Arkhor with worry. "It's what I always give for strength, why?" She asked, trying to figure out what was wrong. He looked like he was uncomfortable-possibly in pain-but that didn't explain the sudden coughing. On her back, the Corry poked his head over her shoulder, and it was possibly to see worry in his eyes.

This dragoness was the queen?! This was quite a predicament now. If the queen herself came from her quarters to save this seawing, it probably meant she was in some way close to him. Vehumet had probably already alienated most of the people here, and now he had to explain to their leader why a storm almost ravaged her land.

vehumet swallowed fearfully, what he was about to say now would probably decide much of his future standings with the seawings. "My name is Vehumet Stormbringer, I am a scion of the skywing tribe." The next part had to be said in an as resolute manner as possible. "I am also the one responsible for the storm that almost ravaged your lands." He gestured over to the weakened seawing. "He was the one who helped me to avert the disaster I almost created." He then bowed down. "Whatever your judgement about this misdeed will be, I'll take it with all the grace I can muster"

Shine listened quietly to the dragon's story, while keeping an eye on Arkhor's coughs. She assumed it was a mild alergic reaction, and made sure to take note of it for the future. When he finished is story, she smirked slightly, and bent down so her head was level with his. "Hey." She said, trying to meet his eyes. "A few things, don't bow to me. I hate formalities. Call me Shine. Second, No harm, no foul. You didn't know, and nobody was badly hurt. As long as it doesn't happen again, you're welcome here." She said, still smiling. A genuine smile. Since the death of her mate, one of those was actually rare, very strange considering her previous cheery attitude.
Even so, Shine was about as un-serious as a leader could get, preferring to speak on equal terms and be level with others-though that's often difficult for a dragon of her size-she at least doesn't want to be above. She's never arrogant, but moody but would be a far better word, sometimes lashing out angrily. But she was far from arrogant. "Vehumet, right? As far as I'm concerned, you helped save our resident semi-god and sort of lieutenant. And are welcome here as long as it doesn't happen again with your knowledge." She repeated.

As he heard Vehumet speak he crept a little closer as the coughs started to die down, then speaking a little raspy "Thanks...Shine and everyone, its nice to meet you Vehumet I'm Arkhor but you probably already heard it" giving a slight smile he could feel his energy returning slowly, it would be best not to use his powers for a few days. Then turning towards Shine still speaking with a weakened raspy voice "I think those herbs have effected my voice..." he chuckled and let out a sigh.
