Hard times

It was hard and difficult, living up with a mother who wasn't even yours by birth. Rayla knew nothing of her mother, only distant memories in which she couldn't even remember very well. All she remembered was the cold that has radiated from her body. She didn't even like her new mom very well. She rolled onto her back, sighing as she stared up at the ceiling of the cave. That very soon she would be promoted to the rank of trainee. Heck she was already passed that. The ceremony should've been held a while ago. She shook her head again, ignoring the little Dragon gecko as Mr. Flame crawled over to her and rested on her belly.

Thirahan, surprisingly found himself walking back over to the cave. It had gotten quite quiet over at his secret base that he had been hanging out in since he was 8, so he decided to go back home and listen to the noise of his siblings. But little did he know, he found one of his sisters there. One he had grown up with. A bit surprised, he walked over to her and leaned down to her face, "Where have you been all this time? Dad was a bit worried about your whereabouts these past few weeks." Sitting down next to her, he only glanced at her little friend on her belly which appeared to be a gecko of some sort. But he didn't bother with it. And let it to itself.

"I got bored," she exclaimed, staring up at the ceiling, "and kind of got lost. "This wasn't entirely false, since Ray had gotten lost. She simply had wanted to spend time with her father, or her other siblings for that matter. Well, she had missed Aari, but she had wanted to have some alone time before they were given their position as trainees.

Thirahan leaned onto his two wing membranes, very unlike the rest in his family, he had the body structure of a wyvern dragon. He had exotic colors and everything, but appearance never bothered him a bit. He looked back over at Rayla, "Ya'know, sooner rather then later we'll be grown ups, and going our separate ways. And you don't seem to be happy, and I don't want you unhappy. So..," Pausing his comment as he got up onto his two hind legs and bobbed his head towards the exit of the cave, "Wanna do something fun?"

"! Sure!!! " exclaims Ray, standing up. This caused the little red gecko Dragon to fly off her belly and land on the floor, making annoyed little noises as it did so, before scurrying away.

Chuckling, he pointed towards his 'secret' base. "Let's go over to my secret base, it has like, the best diving board. And I know a bunch of other places I go to as well. But you have to keep it a secret, good? Good." He had springed off of his hind legs to get a jumping start to flying over there. It was not such a windy day so it was perfect for river diving.

Ray nodded and smiled at Thirahan, before she ran after him. It was a great day for river diving, and Ray haven't been able to make it out side lately. She needed sunlight and water to refresh her dry scales. As they approached the water, Ray ladived in the head first, Letting out and excited yelp yelp when the water splashed her face. She then grabbed Thir's wing, pulling him in the water.

Thirahan, who was surprised to find himself falling into the water, yelped. WHOA! WAIT A SEC-" SPLASH! The impact of two dragons falling into the water made the water jump into the air and come down as if it were raining. Thirahan, who popped his head up from the water, frowned. He twitched a brow before laughing as if someone said the funniest thing in the world. He started to jump up from the water and dive back in, pulling off stunts and tricks he had taught to himself for years. But this once, he flipped twice in the air before diving back in and smirking at Rayla. 'Betcha can't do that!"

Ray laughed. "Is that A challenge?" She asked with a smirk, grinning at her brother as he dove through the water. Taking in a deep breath, even though it was unnecessary, since she had gills, Ray Dove to the water, Giggling bubbles as she felt the wetness course through her skin. Then her headshot upward, and she soared into the sky, her wings pressed to her body as she twirled several times, Then opening her wings and spreading her paws out word to catch herself. Then she sort of upright a few times before talking her wings in again and spending down word splashing into the water, water flying everywhere.

Despite the water flying everyone, his eyes were wide open in awe not really minding the water plunging onto his face. He swam over to Rayla before laughing, "That was awesome! Where'd you learn that?" It was more of a one sided question since he didn't give her anytime to answer, "Well, if that's the best you can do, then you aren't ready for what's about to happen!" He climbed back up he slippery cliff, getting ready to do a dolphin dive with a few tricks and stunts put in. But despite his confidence, the rock was still slippery. He was about to leap off the rock but just then he slipped off the hard surface. Falling down, his body wasn't aiming for the water. Rather.. the sharper rocks below the cliff. Because the rocky cliff was so steep, it was a deep fall, but he had been jumping off the thing since he ever found it so he was sure he wouldn't mess up. But this time he did. Head first, it was a matter of seconds before his skull and the rocks clashed. "WA- WAIT!"

The hatchlings where now 15 and where trainees, Ark was proud to have some many kids, and for their achievements so he decided to sneak up on Thirahans 'Hidden' den, he spotted two of his kids, Rayla and of course Thira, he smiled at them playing in the pool. Still hidden in the treeline he spotted them doing jumps off the high cliff above, his gut instinct was to stop them since it was dangerous with the water dripping off their scales onto the rocks. Moments later he noticed Thirahan started to slip, and began to fall towards the sharp rocks below. Ark darted out of the treeline, focusing on the pool he created a platform of water to catch Thirahan before hitting the ground. Shortly after he dropped him into the pool, releasing his concentration he sighed with relief. "Guys havn't I told you not to dive repeatedly of the cliff..." he frowned towards them both

Rayla gasped when Thirahan fell, but let out a sigh when she noticed the water leap up. When she saw her father come in, she groaned. She was going through raging hormones and didn't want to see her father at the time. His recent god powers made Ray wonder if just anyone could become a god. Maybe he had always been a god. Who knew. Rayla was unaware that her mother had been the goddess of ice and beauty before she had died. Once Trinyah had died that honor had gone to Solstice, well not the goddess of beauty part. This would mean, theoretically, Rayla, Vaynad, Aari, and Thirahan were gods. Their father was a semi god and their mother was a goddess. How Trinyah was killed even though she was a god would probably remain a mystery. So, technically, Ray was a demi goddess as well. Little did she know her powers would come out....... differently.
