Recreational Break (Incus)

Andromeda was taking a well deserved break from helping out at the temple. She had helped out her mom so much, she was basically co-owner of the place. Even learning the ins and outs of mom's religion a lot of which mom had already taught them throughout their life but Andromeda especially was able to grasp the concepts between the lines. Having been cramped in her human form so long Andromeda was now in her dragon form gliding to who knows where. She didn't have a form preference like her other siblings and didn't normally mind being in one or the other too long but by the gods did she miss flying.

Andromeda had a particularly sleek build and cut through the air with grace and speed befitting a nightfury. When she spotted a hotspring though she just could not resist and dove right into it. She soaked and let the heat relax her muscles and mind. This was just what she needed. She'd have to remember this spot in the future.

It has possibly been years since that revelation of ones mother was revealed. Incus, Son of Nimbus who spat at such a name unfortunately needed that title to help keep him from being known as Incus, Son of Astral. He didn't hate her by no means, he was extremely livid at that time and said... a few things that soured the mood further. For years, he assumed like everyone else that she was dead. He couldn't go back to his fathers realm as that fallout had still affected him greatly.

Incus always questioned why he was the only one neglected of all Nimbuses children, it was only when his Nimbus wanted to be a father that Incus got himself banished. A lucky punishment, as the eldest sibling had to step in. The question prodded in his head though; if Incus actually gave Nimbus a chance, would he have had the father he never had before? Incus hated his father for hurting his mother, figuratively speaking, and that hate grew even more to eventually Incus hurting his own mother... figuratively speaking. Quite possibly he overreacted, but didn't know how to make up his mistake to his mother. That was something for when the time came. All Incus knew was carried too much steam, too much anger, he always had it and finally he just wanted it gone.

Shaking these thoughts from his mind, he began to question the existence of the other Night Furies he met years ago, but never saw them again. Not once did he question who their family was, not once, did Incus remember their names beside Aurora and Andromeda. He met Andromeda, a smaller Fury who was accompanied by... another smaller Fury. He always thought that the Night Furies were a race exclusive to his own family, but maybe there were others he didn't even know about? His mother, who had some All Seeing ability couldn't see where others like them were. His mind lingered on it as he began to float through the hot spring until finally his head poked out.

Incus needed a much deserved time to relax. No worries of hiding from others, no worries of the monsters as they seemed quite vacant from the area as of late. Incus wasn't always a hateful nor scared dragon, there was a time when a little confident hatchling existed. That time was passed though, and he was here to relax, not stress about tomorrow's or yesterday's inquiries. With eyes closed, Incus floated nearby a familiar dragoness, unaware of her scent or any noise she made.

Subconsciously Andromeda had a map of the hotspring in her mind so when she bumped into something that wasn't on that map she naturally freaked out. Roaring in surprise and flapping furiously trying to take flight out of the water. It was very difficult to take off out of water. Out of instinct she faded into the other dimension vanishing from sight and suddenly her wings met no resistance from the water and she took off just fine. Oh, right. I got to remember that in the future. Andromeda hovered in the air and looked down. When she saw what it was she felt safe coming back into the dimension everyone resided in and revealing herself. "Incus?" She was surprised she recognized him so quickly. It had been a very long time since she'd seen him so long ago. It was a rather similar situation as this actually. Andromeda couldn't help but giggle out loud at that coincidence. She softly landed back into the hotspring.

Reaction and flee were the only things Incus knew to do. The sudden outburst of a stranger caused him to go into immediate panic mode and swim beneath the hot water to try and disappear. As quickly as it began everything stopped, the dragon carefully waited for anything to come at him. Yet nothing, nothing but a figure flying back into the water ever so graciously. With hesitance, Incus swam in the deep pool and popped his head up from under the water, looking to see who the stranger was.

To the Furies surprise, it was another Night Fury... one of familiarity he could add. The dragon, or dragoness rather, was one he met years ago. It were two Night Furies, a much younger hatchling and her... but what was her name? It had to do with... maybe Andromeda?

Poking his head fully out of the water, the Night Fury looked rather silly but was clear startled and cautious. He hesitated to speak at all but finally got out, "Who... are you?" His time was more quiet than anything else, a shy one indeed, Incus was never a dragon for social interactions.
