Post by Wake Wed Feb 19, 2020 11:13 am

Wake yawned as he woke up, looking out on the island he had recently taken after freeing the old Firewing. The chain that once held a dragon there was now in the small wyvern's den. He was a still a Rogue, so he didn't waste anything. It was just nice to be somewhere safe. Humans had apparently feared coming to the island thanks to it's former occupant, so he was even safe from them! Yes he was a demigod apparently, but he still feared humans.

That wasn't on the small dragons mind though. Right now, fish was. Wake soon took off, ready to go collect some food.

Isle of Storms (Open) Empty Re: Isle of Storms (Open)

Post by Helia Sun Feb 23, 2020 7:45 am

Early morning flights were a delight to the dragoness. She usually woke up very early, since the first light shone straight onto her favourite sleeping spot and woke her, often times much to her dismay. Helia was a bit of a grump in the morning and usually wished some illness upon the sun, or anyone else for that matter, that dared to wake her. Her sisters had always enjoyed Helia's early morning grumpiness and made a sport of haressing the dragoness with noises or pranks, until she agreed to their constant nagging about going on a flight. Now it had just become a habit, but her morning grumpiness hadn't changed.

The flying helped, though. Feeling the wind in her wings first thing in the morning and enjoying the early morning sun. It usually helped a little bit and woke her up, but not today. The sleepiness was very persistent this morning and even the flight didn't help. She just glided on a small stream of air, not even noticing her direction, until suddenly a gust of wind took her from the side. She wasn't awake enough to react and so her many wings got tangled and she crushed right into the ocean beneath her. Luckily she hadn't been flying very high and the speed of her fall pushed her a good couple hundred feet through the water until she, very uncomfortably, rolled onto a sandbank.

Coughing, she tried to get back up onto her feet to shake off all the water and sand, but just stumbled over her wings again and fell right back onto her belly. She could hear her sisters cackling up in the air and sneered at them. "Oh shut it, all of you! I don't see any of you flying around with six wings to keep track of! You could at least help me!" Stupid mornings. Stupid wind.

Wake slowly flew over to coast, ready to fish until something else caught his eye. It looked like a dragon washed up on the shore. He thought for a moment. Should he fly down there? He could hear her talking to... someone, but they were the only two there. Maybe the ness had hit her head on a reef. She did just ask thin air for help. Wake finally sighed and dove down, landing nearby.

"Hey! You ok?" Maybe a stupid question, but a needed one.

Helia huffed when, just as she'd expected, none of her sisters came to her aid. Instead she heard the soft thumb of another dragon landing close by. In her current situation, flopped on her belly with her wings tangled up, she could only really see the other dragon's feet and wings, but not much else. She felt terribly embarrassed and doubled her effort to untangle her wings and get up.

"I'm not hurt at least." she replied a little embarrassed and got two of her wings free from beneath her. "I might need some help getting up, though, if you'd be so kind." One wing was still caught beneath her and the other three were all over the place. Sometimes she cursed her way too many sets of wings, but she couldn't change anything about that now, could she? At least she could blame this one on her sisters. If they hadn't dragged her out in this early morning, she would have not been to sleepy to notice the wind changing and could have avoided making a fool out of herself in front of this other dragon.

Wake looked at the dragoness, nodding before walking closer and tried to get her up. He slowly helped as best he could to get the larger dragon up, and as he did, he began to talk some.

"So, do you have a name, stranger?"

The God of Fortune and Balance had been watching his follower for sometime. Now it seemed Wake had claimed an island for himself. This would work well for Kelarth. Currently, there was a visitor to Wake's island. It wasn't terribly ideal for Kelarth's plan, but it could potentially get him another follower. Since Wake knew him already and there was only one other witness, the God of Fortune decided to forgo a disguise. He opened a portal to Wake's island then stepped through it. A moment later, a portal opened near the two mortals and Kelarth was standing there, curiously awaiting their reactions to his arrival.

Isle of Storms (Open) Empty Re: Isle of Storms (Open)

Post by Attor Wed Feb 26, 2020 3:43 pm

In the events of these "creatures" that raised hell on Pyrria, many seemed fee up with it. So much so that one particular dragon simply wanted this to end, this nightmare they called the world as it is. He could care less if these beasts still existed after the onslaught of most their kind but it was too much. In the West were the once proud neighboring nation's that shared their continent now shared each other since the main Invasion. Their new home, or however new two years was, had been slowly but surely gaining stability. Homes built into networked tunnels and caverns, dragons owning their own caves as some preferred either underground or perhaps above it in soundly sturdy wood housing. Regardless, hunt had been coming by well, as the small society seemed more open to luck and appraisal of long dead deities...

That ceased once a group of ogres attempted to conquer the territory. That ended quite poorly for either side. No dragons died that day but several took heavy damage. The ogres were killed but not without caving in the dugout and wooden homes. That, of all things, couldn't express the anger King Attor had toward the current world. Something! Something had to be done about this! Dragons on the brink of extinction was blasphemy, the humans he could care less, but his faith in gods as a whole wavered... but the worst of it was Attor, as chipper and always happy as he was, nearly gave up on hope. Hope for a better tomorrow, hope for the gods to return and for everything to go back to the way it was. But no, he realized he was ready to give into fear, give into the darkness that lurked and become weak. This scared him, and Attor decided it was time to do something about this.

Flying just out of range of the Imperium territories, Attor alone, was deciding where a place of meeting should be. He'd planned on inviting each representing leader of each tribe on how to handle the situation of the monsters, regardless of how dangerous it was, these beasts were getting worse and worse by the months. He knew his people weren't safe any longer, this had to have happened to other nations as well and taking the chance to go it alone was the risk Attor would make. And if he was the only one to face the threat, then so be it. An island just an appropriate size was spotted and the Sky King landed on it, an amulet holding his yellow Moonstone hung from his neck instead of being engraved in a crown. He began to look around to find a good spot to speak to another, he didn't want their journey to be met with disappointment.

Noctis flies casually as he heads towards the Isle Of Storms, he finds a place to land. He breathes heavily after flying such a great distance. He enters the shadow of a nearby tree and disappears from sight. He lays down trying to rest and catch his breath.

Isle of Storms (Open) Empty Re: Isle of Storms (Open)

Post by Helia Thu Feb 27, 2020 11:41 am

This was much too embarrassing for her liking. Of course her clumsiness had put her in a couple embarassing situations, some of them worse than this, but she did not cherish the thought of lying pinned to the ground by her own wings in front of this strange dragon. She didn't believe he wanted to harm her, otherwise he wouldn't be helping her, but she could have made a much more graceful entrance to meet this new dragon.
Instead she was wriggling herself, while her rescuer pushed her, until she got her wing free from under her and almost whacked the smaller dragon in the face with it. She sheepishly snapped her wings shut, now that they were finally back in their places, while her scales turned a fade pink, an unusual sign of embarrasment. In all that hectic she had even forgotten to introduce herself. Now that she thought about it, she hadn't even said hello. Mornings really weren't her time of day.
"Of course! I'm sorry, I'm of no use early in the morning." Her tail swayed slightly, still a sign of her ongoing embarrassment.
"My name is Helia, and thank you very much for your help." She finally took an actual look at her savior and instantly cocked her head as the wyvern caught her attention more thoroughly. It was the nature of the dragoness to search for details and in her head there were already thirty possible questions to ask this dragon about his heritage, abilities and thoughts, but she tried to keep them at bay, wanting to seem at least a little bit polite instead of burying him under a wave of questions. "And who are you?"

Out of the corner of her eye something else caught her attention. There was a ripple and a...cut? She couldn't really describe it, but there was something and then all of a sudden there was another dragon there. Her eyes got big in surprise and excitement.
"Wow!" Helia had never seen anything like this. Had that been a portal? Who was the other dragon? What else could that dragon do? It really took all she had not to run up to him and ask him all her questions, but she was still talking to teh Wyvern, who hadn't yet noticed the arrival of the other dragon, and didn't want to seem rude.

Wake quickly stepped back as he tried to avoid being smacked by one of the dragoness’s wings. The wyvern chuckled a little when the dragon said she wasn’t a morning dragon. It was understandable. She then said her name. Helia. She then asked what his name was, and turned pinkish. Wake tilted his head, his horns seeming to loosely dangle before he spoke.

“Name’s Wake. Nice to meet ya, Helia.” His horns then layer back down against his neck as he looked around, and then heard and saw a somewhat familiar sight. And then a familiar dragon walked out.

”Kelarth!” Wake then looked around hearing a few different sets of wings. He was a bit curious right now, but would simply keep his ears open. No telling what would happen.

Kelarth gave a slight draconic smile at the female LightWing's reaction to his arrival. She clearly had no idea who he was, however, but he didn't mind. Kelarth was the most modest god, after all. His prophet, Wake, was just as enthusiastic in his greeting, but for a different reason, of course. Kelarth, too, was aware of the... hm, smells like a NightWing... nearby. But there were more pressing matters to attend to. "Wake. We have little time for pleasantries, I'm afraid. I've come with a plan I would like to put into motion. A plan that is now possible because of your successful conquest for this island."

The situation seemed to amuse the other dragon, rather than annoy him, so Helia relaxed a little bit. At least she prevented smacking him in the face with her wing, so that was an improvement to her situation. Apparently his name was Wake and he had a very nonchalant way to him, at least the way he spoke made her feel that way. She liked it, it seemed less formal and distant than her usual first meetings with strange dragons.
"It's nice to meet you too." She smiled back at him ruffling her wings to get all the sand out from between them. The dragoness was gonna ask a little more about him and this island, but the strange arrival of the other dragon cut her off before she could. It wasn't too bad, at least she couldn't bombard him with questions, instead she was fascinated by this new dragon. Wake seemed to know him, judging from his reaction and she already felt the need to ask more questions about that strange appearance, but the other dragon already began to speak, so she couldn't.
The dragoness was completely oblivious to the other dragons arriving at the island, instead she was already trying to figure out what kind of species the dragon was that made it possible for him to travel like that. Was it maybe magic? Or some form of SkyWing Windtunnel? Maybe he was a LightWing and had an ability similar to hers, which was why she hadn't seen him before. Curious.

Wake gave Helia a little smile before looking at Kelarth. He gave the god a curious look before quickly speaking up.

"What kinda plan? You say you needed me to get something like this for it, so now I'm curio...." He then heard something, his horns spreading like a frill as he turned to the noise. He was sure it was another dragon, but he wasn't sure where.

Post by Attor Tue Mar 10, 2020 3:05 pm

Frustration built in the Sovereigns head as he pondered as to where the meeting should be held. Frustration that he never let take hold before during the time of politics and after the main Invasion, but frustration in himself for not doing this sooner. For not taking responsibility and gathering the leaders, gathering forces to face an evil that gripped their world. If the gods didn't want any part of this then so be it. It was high time to take destiny and fate by the throat and them into his own.

Walking and trying to calm himself, Attor happened upon a group of dragons, one of them he noticed right off the back a familiar LightWing, but there appeared to also be a rogue, a NightWing, and then came something abnormal. From a flash of light, a hole opened and out came what Attor assumed was... Lost for words, Attor had only seen paintings, carvings, statues, and scrolls containing the image of a particular god. And before him was none other than the deity who ruled balance and luck, Kelarth. Being one who uses to worship the god, Attor felt a flurry of emotions. Joy, Relief, but there was a surge of anger that washed over. Anger toward someone who could have helped... or perhaps the almighty Kelarth was as mortal as everyone else?

As calm as could be, Attor kept his distance and watched, listening carefully to whatever was bound to be said. Attor now had more interest, what in the world would Kelarth be here for?

Kelarth noticed Wake taking notice of the NightWing hiding nearby. "Pay them no mind, Wake. There are more important things to worry about. And yes, I did. You see, I need a secluded place to conduct my plan, the sort of secluded place like an island such as this. I knew this one was inhabited by a captive mortal, however, and I could not in good conscience do battle with it. I could have just freed them but... well..." The God of Fortune trailed off, as if ashamed to finish the sentence. "Anyway, I wish to turn this island into a base of operations. Here I will gather the willing of what mortals remain and make them strong to fight back the monster scourge. I will find a purpose for those who don't wish to fight. And to keep those troublesome beasts away until our work is complete, your little island will become a true Isle of Storms."

Wake listened to Kelarth, somewhat surprised with what he was saying. Was he saying he couldn't save the Firewing that was here before? It confused him as to why the god couldn't have done something before. Then again, he was just happy the chain didn't snap back on him or something. Either way, Kelarth was quick to tell Wake and Helia his plan. To bring as many willing dragons as he could to the Isle of Storms and fight back the monster. The little wyvern was surprised, not sure what to say.

"So you wanna get all we have left here. So we can fight back? You wanna get ready to fight back." Wake's voice was a combination of worried and excited. They had a chance. They could fight back. "As long as a tribal doesn't try to take this place for their own.... it could work."

Isle of Storms (Open) Empty Re: Isle of Storms (Open)

Post by Kelarth Sun Apr 12, 2020 12:16 pm

"You won't have to worry about that, Wake. As I mentioned, I will make this a true Isle of Storms. Moreover, it will also be protected by a barrier that will prevent any with ill intent--such as trying to take this island for their own--from even touching the ground. Only those wishing to help will have safe passage." Kelarth took the sky. When he was 100ft above the ground, the god went to work. Flying in traditional serpentine fashion rather than using his wings, Kelarth began flying in an oval. His whiskers let off sparks of electricity as he gradually gained speed. That electricity spread to the rest of his body: his mane and wings appeared to be made solely of lightning; lightning arched between the branches of his antlers; his claws glowed white; his eyes glowed a blueish white, with tiny wisps of electricity spilling over the sides; it arched from his body intermittently and seemed to travel in waves down the length of his tail.

Now, Kelarth changed his flight pattern. The new one would have seemed completely random with the lightning. As if he were painting with it, the god made an image in the sky: the Scale of Fortune. It was not just an image, however. Moments later, the blueish white became gold and there was now a shadow being cast on the ground. Kelarth flew to the left plate and landed on it. It lowered, raising the right plate, after which Kelarth threw back his head and roared. As he roared, the lightning surrounding him was drawn into his maw. It rotated until it was condensed into a small orb no bigger than his eye. Before, there had been the crackling of electricity, then Kelarth's roar. Now, there was a quiet sucking sound as Kelarth drew a breath. A moment of absolute silence... followed by a massive explosive crack of thunder resulting from the release of the condensed breath attack. The lightning pierced the atmosphere in a single line that then broke off into thousands of tiny branches that blanketed the sky.

Dark storm clouds formed over the island. The winds picked up; the sea grew angry, tossing tall waves at the cliffs; thunder shook the ground; a hurricane formed around the island--the island itself sat within the eye. Periodically, lightning struck the ground, or a tornado formed.

Kelarth, at the end of his breath attack, shot a pink orb into the sky. The orb created a barrier around the outside of the hurricane. The barrier would instantly destroy monsters that came within 30ft of it. As for mortals, any with intent to try claiming the island wouldn't be able to pass through the barrier. Furthermore, the barrier itself also served as a portal--those able to pass would be taken to the island rather than having to navigate the hurricane.

The Scale of Fortune disappeared and Kelarth flew back down to Wake and the LightWing. "There. Don't worry about the lightning strikes or tornadoes. They won't strike anyone or form in the most habited spots. Now, I have a few things to do. Spread word of my plan and the protection this island now offers. I will return soon." Without waiting for a reply, Kelarth opened a portal that closed once he passed into it.

Post by Helia Mon Apr 13, 2020 2:53 am

Helia watched in stunned silence as the conversation between Wake and the other dragon, apparently named Kelarth, unfolded. Fighting against the Monsters? Inviting all willing dragonkind here to stick together and banish the threats here? A deep remorse for not helping earlier? Helia just got more confused by the second. The wyvern next to her seemed to get more and more excited, whereas the stomach of the slender dragoness filled with worry and a little bit of anxiety. Fighting really wasn't her thing, neither was hurling herself into the danger of it. And that other dragon still confused her.

The powers he was showing, the way he behaved and the reverance Wake seemed to have for him only left her with one conclusion as to what that dragon must be. She didn't muster the courage to ask straight away, though. Instead she stayed quiet until Kelarth had left through another portal and left them alone again. The white dragoness took a look around, seeing the way the sea had turned angry and wind was blowing loudly. She worried a little bit about her trip back, but before leaving she wanted to talk to Wake anyways. So why worry now?

"Was he a god?" she asked, turning to the smaller wyvern with a puzzled look on her face. She had never actually seen a god, nor had she spent much time thinking about whether they really existed or not.
