The adults had gone on their various assignments in the quest to amass the survivors of the Kreu invasion. Nyetai and Henri had been left behind, for this was no matter for mere Hatchlings to be involved in. Mae, the Scribe, had been left to watch over them, for Siris knew of the innocent yet dangerous trouble the two could get into. But they were not alone; two other Hatchlings, twins Cyclone and Typhoon, were with them. Henri and Nyetai were glad because adults could be so boring at times. "So what should we do?" Nyetai asked the two NightWing Hatchlings once Mae had wandered off to get a more detailed view of the meeting area for her recollection of the day.

The twins watched silently as all the adults went on their quests to find more dragons and beat the monsters. They wondered what kinds of dragons and other species would come. At least there were some more hatchlings now. Henri and Nyetai, the two Elderwing hatchlings. The pair were quick to hear Nyetai ask what they should do. The pair both thought for a moment, their tail and body twitching and sway some as they did. Soon, Cyclone seemed to have a idea a spoke up.

"King Baldirak did tell us watch his Moonstones for him." Typhoon then budded in.

"Yeah! We could go see them."

The two Hatchlings looked at each other when Cyclone and Typhoon spoke up finally. They had seen Moonstones before but not in several centuries. "Sure!" Henri and Nyetai said in unison. They followed the NightWing twins to the EarthWing King's collection of Moonstones.

The two headed hatchlings gave Henri and Nyetai smiles before quickly going to where the collection of stones was supposed to be. The twins were excited to see the Moonstone. The only ones they had ever seen were their own, so they figured it would be cool to see more. Cyclone and Typhoon soon led the pair of Elderwing hatchlings to the place Baldirak told them to go, and led Nyetai and Henri in. As they did, their own moonstones glew brighter.

Henri and Nyetai followed the twins with excitement. Baldirak was the first Tal Ilos they had ever met when Daelorios was rediscovered. The two Hatchlings were more than exicted to be carrying out a mission for the EarthWing leader. As they moved along to their destination, Nyetai noticed the twins' Moonstones were glowing rather brightly. From what she knew, Moonstones began glowing once the sun set. It was only midday... Henri noticed this as well, but he didn't think much of it. He was too busy looking around, taking in the sights and smells. This was, after all, the first time he had ever been anywhere other than Daelorios.

The den of the Twilight King was--as to be expected when said king is an EarthWing--quite large. It was a simple den, set apart from any other only by the presence of Moonstones. The Goddess Astral had given Baldirak the privilege of being her Prophet, and so he had decided to fill his den with Moonstones. Since knowledge and wisdom were the aspects of Astralogy that Baldirak followed most, the majority of the Moonstones were white and purple. While some were placed randomly in the walls, most formed a Knowledge Circle in the center of the floor.

Both Cyclone and Typhoon were shocked at just how many Moonstones Baldirak had. Both walked slowly in, tripping a time or two while not focusing on staying in sync. It was just so incredible. Cyclone then turned her head to Henri and Nyetai, grinning horn-to-horn. ”This is amazing!”

Henri and Nyetai could hardly believe their eyes. They had never seen so many Moonstones in one place. Nyetai grinned at the other Hatchlings and bounded forward past Cyclone and Typhoon further into the den. She looked around and started counting the Moonstones. Henri, meanwhile, was standing beside Typhoon. "This is awesome! Baldirak must like knowledge, huh? There's a lot of purple and white Moonstones here."

The twins both giggled as Nyetai ran by them. The pair’s heads then turned to Henri. He noted that Baldirak must like knowledge. The twins looked at each other before turning and nodding. Cyclone then spoke up. ”I guess he does. It almost looks like a night sky in here.” Typhoon then began to wonder something.

”Where did he get all these Moonstones anyway? Thes....” Typhoon was surprised as his sister began walking forward, towards where Nyetai went. Once Typhoon was balanced again, he continued. ”These are some of the rarest things on Pyrria.”

"Yeah, it does. Bain would love this," Henri said. He sat down to scratch at his side. "Actually, the white Moonstone is really common. The purple is more rare. But the rarest of all is the one you and Cyclone have, the red one."

Nyetai's voice echoed as she ventured further away and had to raise her voice a bit. "Can't you just enjoy this like everyone else, Henri? No one cares about which Moonstone is the rarest. You can be a Scribeil later!"

Henri muttered something under his breath at Nyetai's whining. She always got whiny whenever he started talking about history. He never understood why it bored her. It was really interesting, especially the Mainlanders' history. "Fine... Hey Cyclone, Typhoon. What are we guarding these Moonstones from?"

The twins looked down at both their collars when Henri said purple and red were rare, with red being the most rare of all. Cyclone began thinking about where their father had got the rare, but Typhoon stayed in the real world, and couldn’t help but giggle at Nyetai’s comment. ”I kinda agree with Nyetai’s on this one.”

After Henri asked what exactly they were guarding the stones from, Typhoon went into thought for a moment. There weren’t monsters nearby, so it wasn’t that. Maybe dragons? It was the only thing that made much sense. The drake then looked at the other hatchling. ”I guess other dragons. Wha’do you think sis? Sis?” Cyclone just shook her head for a second before answering, as if shaking a thought away. ”Um.... Yeah. What he said.” All Typhoon did at this was give his sister a concerned look.

Typhoon seemed to agree with Nyetai about Henri's rattling off historical facts. He wished Odaer or another Scribeil was here. Getting up, Henri joined Nyetai at the center of the Knowledge Circle. "Other dragons?" Nyetai asked absently as she looked up at the ceiling.

Henri looked back at the twins."Who would steal from the Ilos? Have they tried before?"

The twins both looked at there other hatchlings before Cyclone fixed her gaze on her brother. ”Yeah, Typhoon. Who would steal from Baldirak? He looks like a mountain with legs, which doesn’t really scream ‘steal from me.’”

Typhoon thought for another moment, but he just seemed to get frustrated and sighed. Neither of them had been in the in the Nightwings for that long compared to everyone else, so Typhoon wasn’t sure if it ever happened. He finally spoke up. ”I don’t know. It’s the only thing that made sense, since there aren’t monsters around.”
