I need help... STAFF!?!?!?

I am wondering what the deal is with night furies. I have heard that they're locked like wolf dragons, but people have them still. Besides, I was wondering if they could make an exception because I am not applying for a Nightwing, rather a white ice wing. and as far as fan characters go, it's not like I'm making literally Spyro...
Tahki said they'd ask, but I haven't gotten a reply yet. This is where you could tell me the answer, lol. But yeah, my app is ready for review if this small detail checks out.

I'm not a staff myself, but I think I know what the deal is. Night Furies were locked some time ago, and nobody can make new ones. Only the people who had one before can have one now. I've had Alistair since 2014.

I personally think that by Night Furies they mean the shape and anatomy of the dragon's body, not inheritance. Again, I may be wrong. I think I won't post in this topic anymore since I'm not exactly staff, so I'm not a source you can rely on for this one. Sorry, I think you gotta wait for staffies.

I'm new here, fresh as spring buds so I'm not sure on the locks. But like Alistair said I think its more around the anatomy, your FC greatly resembling the Nightfuries (or at least how they are set up here.) Nightfuries are like a subspecies of nightwings?

Inheritance wise, there are no Night Furies. Alistair is right, we're talking about anatomy and shape. And they were restricted to a specific family line some time ago, and that restriction is still in place. So the only way you could have a dragon whose anatomy is that of a Night Fury, you would have to be a member of that family.
I'll inquire about the restriction and let you know what is decided.

The restriction is in order to create a Night Fury you have to be the child of an existing Night Fury. Primarily that is my family line but there are one or two that created one before the restriction was officially placed. If you want I could work something out with you.
