Personality: Xalia is a silent dragon who mostly enjoys watching the sea and night sky. The most of a conversation you can muster out of her at day only would last a few seconds, or minutes at the most. Although she seems to be the type that likes to be alone, she has a terrible fear of being abandoned, and all alone. Xalia is a victim of minor panic attacks, being alone is one of the things that triggers them. At night however... She seems to be an entirely different dragon, her normally pitch black scales glow with her red markings, making her light up like a glowstick.

Fears:
She fears that one day she be left behind and abandoned, she also fears one day that humans might invade and destroy her home. She fears flight as well, making flying extremely fearful for her, but she manages to fly fine with a companion.

General Appearance
Height: 7'9"
Scales: Pitch black scales that are sort of eye shaped
Eyes: Soft red
Appearance: Xalia is a slim dragon built for aerial finesse and skill, she would be an excellent flier, if she wasn't almost completely blind. Her pitch black scales lighten slightly around her eyes and paws, giving a slight fade effect. Her long tail also has the same affect on the tip, right above the axe shaped blade on her tail. Around her neck is a strange symbol that depicts a large red dragon, his wings wide and his neck long and bowed in respect. At night, her eyes glow red and her markings glow like glow sticks, her markings dim to a soft red when she is talking to spirits. Her wings are black like the rest of her although at night they are slightly see-through, giving the thought that her wings are enveloped in a soft smoke. On her painfully sharp claws *Icewing inheritance* she wears jagged metal tops to further increase their damage.

Abilities and Skills

Strengths: Ground combat:Although she seems more fit to be an aerial attacker, Xalia prefers to be on the ground and use her almost complete blindness to her advantage. With her superior hearing she is able to pinpoint a target easily, in the air it is more difficult for her.

Hearing: Xalia's excellent hearing allows her to hear a sneaking attacker behind her, it also allows her to hear prey, making her a great hunter.

Eavesdropping: It seems strange that Xalia might do this but it something she does on a daily basis. Her excellent hearing seems to catch every word in a conversation about a few feet from her, making it easy to discover news before it is even announced.

Special Abilities

Defensive magic:Her extreme blindness lead to follow to defensive root when deciding on what magic she should learn, Xalia's focus on Abjuration and evading magic assists her in battle. Her evasive spells, Fog Cloud and Gust. When she casts Fog Cloud, her form is enveloped in fog, making hitting her a challenge. This spell would normally last five minutes on a normal day and two minutes on a stormy day. Gust, when casted summons a winglike force that pushes her in a certain direction, this spell only works when she is in the air and can only be caste two to three times a day. Her defensive spells consist of Celestial Shield, Deflect, Disarm, and Ice Crystal. Her Celestial shield would normally last up to three minutes but when she tries and holds it up, it would last of about four minutes. Her Deflect spell can easily deflect fire, ice and earth spells that aren't to powerful. If a spell is to strong for her deflect spell, it will break through it anyway. Her disarm spell is best at disarming humans. It has a very small change of disarming dragons. Her Ice Crystal spell is one of her only and best ground defensive spells. When casted, Ice will shoot out of the ground good for making protective shields or blocking thrown weapons. This spell is difficult to cast and she can cast it twice a day.
Weaknesses

Blindness: Being almost completely blind has its cons, Xalia can only see a few mere inches in front of her and will often trip over and run into things. She can still fly, but is afraid to fly alone in fear of crashing into something.

Fear of humans: At sight of a human Xalia instantly enters a flight or fight mode, most often flight is what she does.

Dark inhabitant: Xalia, since discovering a small hidden cave on the Ebonwing Potentate has a dark spirit following her around. His name is Tiodus, he often attempts to make her make bad choices or do bad things, but sometimes he has a good point. Sometimes...

Light magic: For some unknown reason Xalia is weak to LightWing magic, making it much more effective against her. The magic can penetrate her shields and evasion spells with ease. Many think her weakness to that magic type is because of her birth defect that made her almost completely blind.

Sunlight: Xalia's weak eyes are hurt by the first few rays of sunlight so she normally hides or sleeps through it.

Combat
Since she is blind Xalia prefers to face an enemy on the ground were she can attack easier, if she is caught in aerial combat she attempts to bring it to the ground.

History
Xalia was the only survivor of her four siblings, she lived with her mother in the Ebonwing Potentate for years, learning how to use Abjuration magic and learning how to fly with her blindness. She was often bullied because she was almost completely blind. When she was about 14 years of age she found a small cave which wasn't on the Ebonwing potentate map and wandered inside, thats when the dark spirit Tiodus began to follow her. He talked to her at night, and often at day, setting forth dark ideas and thoughts which Xalia often ignored, although sometimes he made good points. One night Tiodus gained control over Xalia, destroying a small amount of the forests there before Xalia regained control, attempting to block out Tiodus and his evil and sometimes good thoughts. When she turned 20 she was better at blocking out Tiodus and preventing him from controlling once more, but on some full moons he almost breaks through and controls her again. After a few years she joined the military and helped fight in some skirmishes or fights. In her spare time she talks to Tiodus, as annoying as he is he actually gives her some sympathy at times, showing that he did have some sort of heart sometime in his life.[/b]

Hello there. To start, under inheritance, you have Xalia as being part EbonWing and part NightWing. From a species standpoint, EbonWings and NightWings are exactly the same, the only difference is that the former is shorter in size.

Now onto abilities. No Dragon can speak to or even see the dead without permission from or being a child of Nimbus, the God of Death. So unless he gave her this ability--and you would have to speak with him to work out the reason behind that--you can't have it. As for her magic, what exactly can she do? How long does its effects last?
