Personality: Kahlan is a bubbly dragon that always manages to find the good in everyone, even in ones that may not seem to be so. Due to her small size she’s always flittering about her friends at an almost incredible speed. She is also competitive and is always up for a race since she believes she can always win one (she’s a little over praising of herself sometimes :3). Kahlan is a social butterfly and always wants to know the latest news, she will work down to the bone if she has to find every bit of information she can.
When first meeting Kahlan, most tend to almost regret ever approaching the bubbly SeaWing, but it is only because she is excited to get to know a new dragon! She tends to calm down after chatting for a while since she tends to lose interest in things very quickly, this has led her to many troubling times.
The longer someone is a friend to Kahlan, the more they seem to learn of her. They would come to know that Kahlan has many layers. She, like all dragons, does have a side where not everything is chasing fish and laughing with friends, she is determined to not let anyone discover this side of her.
She is basically a child in a small adult body.

Fears: Kahlan is terrified of the dark, she often has nightmares if she can’t sleep in a place that’s illuminated either by glowing crystals in the water or the full moon.


General Appearance
Height: 15 feet
Scales: Kahlan’s scales are small and rounded that lay tight against her body, allowing as much swiftness in water as possible
Eyes: Light Purple
Appearance: Kahlan’s scales are a very light sea blue that house darker shades in different types of lighting. Her nose ends in a point with only the slightest bump on the edge that signals a horn being there. She has two curled upward horns atop her head that lay back, almost parallel with where her neck connects with her head. She has small webbed fins on the sides off her cheek, with slightly larger ones on her shoulders and ankles. She has a large one on her head, more like a crest that she can manipulate to open and close when needed. She has this control with all of her fins apart from, her tail. They also run along her back all the way to her tail, which ends not in a point, but a flat fin. (Try to imagine a mermaid’s tail)

Skills and Abilities
Strengths: Kahlan is a very fast swimmer, due to her many webbed fins along her body and she uses this ability the most when hunting for her tribe. She is also quite agile and has good reflexes that she uses in her everyday life.
It takes a lot for something to effect Kahlan, mostly because she’s aloof and nearly always happy. Not many things really ‘get’ to Kahlan, she mostly acknowledges something, thinks about it then moves on rather quickly.

Special Abilities: Kahlan has the ability to ‘freeze’ her prey or enemies, if they’re small enough. Her strangely coloured eyes possess the ability to stop her opponent in their tracks if Kahlan makes eye contact with them. Since her ability isn’t the strongest of them all, she mainly uses them on her prey which mainly consists of schools of fish, like salmon. She is able to hold them still for quite some time (around 10 minutes tops) while she kills them. The smaller the being is, the longer she is able to hold them still while looking at them only once. If it were a large creature, like another dragon, the time she would be able to hold them would be shortened dramatically (to around 3 minutes).

Dragons are able to break free from Kahlan's freeze if they have a strong level of mental strength and concentration. But the best way to break free from it is to not be trapped at all.

Weaknesses: Although Kahlan is extremely fast, her energy does not run forever. Since she is constantly moving throughout the day, she is always needing to take naps. She needs a solid 10 minutes of sleeping before she is able to return to her normal level of energy.
If Kahlan uses her special ability for an extended period of time, she will tend to fall ill and weak. This is most dangerous when in a battle, if she ever was in one. When she happens to fall to this sickly state she immediately falls asleep, since it is her fastest way to regain her energy and health when medicines are not available.

Combat Style: If Kahlan was ever in a fight, she would use her special ability for a few seconds before fluttering around her enemy, clawing and biting at precious spots to try and immobolise them as soon as possible.

Background
History: Kahlan led a pretty normal life. She had two strong and amazing parents that would do anything for her, friends that were always by her side and happiness that could last her a life time. Her life suddenly changed however when both her parents were attacked and killed by humans when they were exploring the surface above. For two weeks Kahlan avoided all the other dragons, mourning for her lost parents. She often floated in empty exposed seas in a way to try and relieve her pain, but all attempts were failed.
It was until one day a month after her parents death that Kahlan met a strange, bright pink fish that Kahlan names ‘Pearl’. Surprisingly, the fish did not swim away from the grieving dragon, only it came closer and closer to her until it was right in front of her snout. Kahlan got the shock of her life when it started to blow bubbles at her. Surprised by this strange fish, Kahlan attempted at swimming away but Pearl only followed her.
It was that one bright pink fish that made Kahlan into the dragon she is today. She mended her wounds by showing Kahlan what fun was again and took her on adventures the little Seawing could only dream about. Day by day Pearl helped the poor dragon and helped her past the sorrow that had clouded both her heart and mind, and when finally months later Kahlan was as happy as she could be, she took an oath to help anyone she could stay bright and happy and help them through their problems. Just as Pearl did to her.

RP Sample: Kahlan was happily drifting through a coral forest, humming a tune she made up on the spot as she eyed the pretty colours all around her. She giggled as she passed a calm school of a species of a fish that seemed to be every colour of a rainbow. Smiling at them she flared her crest at them in a teasing way before thrusting her tail down, making her lunge forwards with great speed as she began racing over the sea bed. She darted under towers of coral and strangely coloured seaweed, kicking up sand as she pounded her tail down hard. Everything was soon becoming a blur of bright colours around her, this was one of her favourite things to do.

She continued swerving around the coral and weeds before suddenly she stopped. Flaring out her fins on her legs she reared her body back until she came to a quick stop, sand kicking up around her. It clouded her vision for a bit but the Seawing waited patiently for it to settle down enough. When it did, there in front of her, nestled in a cup of pink coral, was a large glistening blue stone about the size of her own paw. Gasping lightly, she reached down to gently grab its smooth surface.

“I have the perfect spot for you.” She whispered to the stone before hugging it to her chest, spinning around and heading back the way she had come. She was excited to show this beauty to everyone else.
