Lightwing History - WIP

As most of the tribes of Pyyria it all began with a gathering of a select few, in this case the few where the ancestors of Light. Scales of white and gold, shining from the sunlight which blessed the land. The most notable of the creators was the two leaders, the king and queen. Valarin the king who stood at 108 ft, one of the largest Lightwings that ever existed. His golden scales where infused with sunlight shining and beaming as he showed his emotions. The Queen who of course was his mate was almost the opposite with a slender build and white scales with golden patterns running down the sides. Lyath provided advise and kindness to many, for many years the tribe grew with the construction of the palace they finally had a place to call home.

The palace of light certainly earned its title, standing tall at 2500ft with the central spire which was the main centre with all the original caves in the cliff side still below even today. Using sandstone for the design it created the perfect golden look which clearly represented them. Inside the massive structure held a central fountain of water, called the pool of purity who's water poured from the highest point right down to the bottom floor, almost like water from heaven yet it was a simple trick of using the nearby mountain springs. The structure was mostly made of space for members to easily fly within to reach their destined floor. The main rooms which the palace held where the king's chambers, the royal meeting room, general quarters for all, plazas on a number of floors for gatherings. Along with the main entrance there are multiple balcony's making it easier to reach places within. At the very bottom of the palace held the temple which held the starstone the relic of the lightwings.

As we move closer to the present the tribes leaders fell under a war caused by their rivals the Nightwings. Valarin died in battle after suffering fatal wounds, many on both sides perished as it finally ended in a stalemate a truce was made by the widow and Queen Lyath who afterwards couldn't continue ruling due to her grief she left the tribe which caused a large amount of disarray. Eventually the tribe decided that a Queen should rule again, this lead to the wise Queen Sleenia rising up.

Another age past the tribe happy in an golden age of peace, yet they again found themselves into problems. Sleenia had vanished randomly, nobody knew where she had gone, with what seemed like a warning the tribe decided two leaders was the best way to achieve stability. Devi and Lucian, the first male leaders apart from the original king. Again the tribe grew even larger but tensions where high with the Nightwngs instability, as they prepared for the worst incase a new element decided to go to war against their rivals. Yet war didn't come and what seemed Lucian growing ever distant, Devi was left alone as the only Leader.

Yet surprisingly Sleenia had returned but instead of becoming Queen again she decided to become a healer again as before. Many years past an almost destined pairing occured with Devi & Sleenia as the lightwings had gained a King & Queen again. Unknown to them their was a traitor in their mist, one fateful night a plan came into action with the sacred starstone stolen from the heart of the tribe. Without any trail the deep loss of the stone hurt the tribe, with it still missing today they continuing search for the precious artifact.
