Hatchling Game!

Hatchling Game!
Welcome to the hatchling game! This is not a game where your dragon is just going to be making a bunch of babies, that'd just be weird. Instead, you will be raising a baby hatchling, which you can raise into a champion!
You have to care for your dragon once you get it. Babies must be fed every day, or else they might die or run away. Adults can be more sparing, but only up to 4 days apart. You want to get your baby to like you, and you want it be be healthy right? Then give it plenty of attention and care!
Dragon ages:
1 Day ~ Hatchling
3 Days ~ 3 years
7 Days ~ 10 years
15 Days ~ 20 years
25 Days ~ 40 years
30 Days~ 60 years
60 Days ~ 80 years
90 Days ~ 100 years
At 100 years, your dragon will die. But think of that, 90 days of caring for your dragon, it's going to seem like a long time.
Before you post, please read the information in the next post. Thank you!
When your dragon is 20 years old (15 days) you can release it for money. The money you receive will depend on its skills, healthiness, and attitude. A nice dragon can sell just as high for a mean dragon, depending on its other features. Once you do this, you will never be able to get your dragon back.
Dragon will start out with different personalities, strengths, and skills. To change them all you have to do is train them. Experiment with different things to get different outcomes. Stat points tell you what they are good at, and all hatchlings start out different.
To get a hatchling, all you have to do is simply put a name down. Make sure to chose one for a boy and a girl, for these are randomized.

Re: Hatchling Game!
Here will be more rules and things you can do, as I don't want the first post to just be a huge wall of text. These will be organized so you can hopefully get to what you want easier.
Starting off
For beginning players.
When starting off, you'll get your first hatchling free, after that you will have to buy other hatchling either from the store or from other players. Dragons are randomised in gender and look, so don't ask for one type of dragon. Just post a name for the male and female and you'll be good! You'll get that through breeding, trading, and buying. You get to name your dragon and after that, care for it. [Go to: Caring]
Everyone starts off with the same items below.
-3 days of food
-50 dollars
With these you will be able to start to care for your dragon. After that, you'll have to buy the rest. With the 50 dollars you can buy food and training equipment and more from the store. [Go to: Marketplace]
Caring
For all players with their dragons.
Ages
For all players.
Marketplace
For players who need supplies.
Training
For dragons 10 years and older
For 20 year old dragons and above.
Selling
For all players.
For 20 year old dragons and higher.
For other needs.

Caring
For all players with their dragons.
- :
To care for your dragon all you have to do is post. When you post, you say the action that you are doing. For example; 'Takes dragon down to the water to drink.' Then your dragon would be good on water. It's simple!
Babies have to be cared for everyday. As your dragon gets older it needs less and less day-to-day-care. Does this mean you have to care for it every other day? No! You can still care for it everyday, and this will most likely make your dragon stronger and happier. If you don't care for your dragon it might run away or die.
To fully care for your hatchling you have to have the right supplies. You can't feed a hatchling with no food, or comb it with no comb. To be able to fully care for it, you have to buy it. [Go to: Marketplace]
You can feed it with different foods. Some dragon like meat and others like plants. You'll have to find out what your dragon does and doesn't like. To feed it all you have to do is say that you did, and the food will be taken out of your inventory and to the dragon. Babies have to be feed every day while adults can be feed every 4 days at the most.
Water is easier because you don't necessarily have to buy it. The only time you really have to buy it is when you're someplace you can't get water, like the desert, around dirty water, or around salt water. Other than that, go down to a lake or ocean and you'll be fine.
When grooming, you can either lick them and take them to the water to slightly groom them, or get some real bath supplies and make them squeaky clean. Brushes are better used on dragons with hair or fur, but can still be used to brush off dirt from scales. To really clean them you'd need some bath soap and other supplies all found in the store. Everything gives out a different amount of clean. Sometimes, your dragon won't want to get a bath or get clean, so you might have to force them like you would a cat.
You also want to keep your dragon's happiness up. To do this you can play with them and keep them full and groomed and well-rested. Happy dragons are more likely to produce eggs when mated and sell for more than unhappy dragons. They're also a lot easier to deal with.
Other than that, the rest would be up to training. Hopefuly you're able to keep up with your dragon's needs other needs before you get to the heavy-lifting. [Go to: Training]
Ages
For all players.
- :
At different ages your dragon can do different things. When it is young it can't do much, but as it gets older it can do a lot more. Why don't we look at those things right now?
Hatching - Needs to be fed and cared for everyday. Learns from its caretaker on how to act and what to do. Can't be fully trained yet. Can't enter competitions. Can't breed.
3 years - Needs to be fed and cared for everyday. Is a bit better at learning. Can be partially trained. Can't lift weights. Can't enter competitions. Can't breed.
10 year - Needs to be fed and cared for every other day. Can be trained. Can lift weights. Can't enter competitions. Can't be bred.
20 years - Needs to be fed and cared for every 3 days at the most. Can be trained. Can lift weights. Can enter competitions. Can be bred.
40 years - Needs to be fed and cared for every 4 days at the most. Can do everything.
80 years - Every 4 days at the most. Can't lift weights. Can do everything else.
100 years - Your dragon has passed.
Marketplace
For players who need supplies.
- :
To keep your dragon healthy and in tip-top shape, you need to buy it the things it needs! The most commonly bought items are food, water, and grooming supplies. There are also toys and training items. Sometimes, specialty items come in that cost a lot more but can give a lot more too.
Food- Various food can give your dragon more or less actual food, depending on if your dragon likes it or not and if it usually eats that. Food ranges from meat to sweets.
Water- Although most of the time not necessary, the store still sells water. Maybe you have a water-loving dragon and you want to take a trip away from the water. Or maybe the place you're going doesn't have a clean water source for miles, or jsut none at all. Another reason is if you want to clean your dragon without getting a river or lake all soapy.
Grooming Supplies- Grooming supplies can differ when being sold in the store. Most of the time it's brushes and soap, but can be other things too like nail clippers and scale scrubbers, which just have a better clean than a brush. Most of these can be used to enhance beauty.
Training Supplies- While in grooming there is already a little to improve beauty, these would include more things like speed and strength helpers. Weights and various things to improve strength and a timer, and even a treadmill for speed and endurance. Books for intelligence, and other various items that might be of use.
Toys- All dragons have to have some toys! Well, not really, but it is a good idea to get their happiness up and bond. Some dragons might not like certain toys or none at all, but it is still nice to try and can be used on other dragons.
Specialty Items- These are rare, expensive items. Even the ones selling it sometimes don't know what it is. It's only up to you to decide to try it.
Training
For dragons 10 years and older
- :
At 3 years you may be able to train your dragon a little, but most attempts will be unsuccessful. When your dragon reaches 10 is when the real training starts. This training would be for competitions, or just to sell your dragon for more. Dragons don't have to be trained and can just be bred, but some of the traits could be passed on, like a stronger dragon may make a stronger child. This doesn't mean it will just happen, just a possibility. [Go to; Breeding]
Dragons can be trained in different things, like beauty, strength, endurance, intellect, ect. Some dragons just can't be trained at some things, or at least as well. A small dragon may never become as strong as one that was born strong, but at the same time it could. To get the best training, you'd want to buy supplies from the store, like weights for strength, books for intelligence, ect. [Go to; Marketplace]
You don't want to overtrain a dragon, or else it might try to resist or not improve, as it was too tired to train. You also don't want to undertrain a dragon, or else it either won't or will only slowly approve. Every dragon is different, and you'll have to find the medium. Sometimes, one dragon may be able to train for hours while the other can train for minutes. Training time usually improves over time, unless you train for too long in which it could go down.
For 20 year old dragons and above.
- :
If you don't want to sell your dragon, then you can keep it and breed more dragons. You can breed with other dragons or, if you have two different gender dragons, you can breed them together. Whoever owns the female will keep the eggs, but you can buy them if the owner wants to sell them. If you have a male, you can put it up for breeding and earn money that way too. Not every two dragons will like each other and produce an egg.
Males can be bred every three days, but there is a limit to their breeding. Young males can only be bred once a day every three days. The good thing about this is that you can put your males up for breedings so that another owner of a female can have your two dragons mate.
Females can only be bred once every week. They have to care for the egg or eggs until it has hatched, then they can have another. Females don't lay eggs for 4 days after they have mated, and the eggs don't hatch for another three days. Just make sure that the mother keeps them warm!
Selling
For all players.
- :
If you're a little short on money, or just don't like a dragon, you can sell it! You can also do this with other items, and even exchange them with other players. Maybe your dragon is a fantastic hunter, and you want to sell meat for a lower price than the store does, there's nothing stopping you.
Dragon are a bit trickier. They can still be exchanged with no problem, but when sold to the store they get judged on a few things. The first thing is overall health. This would mean if it's well-fed and full or if it's not thirsty. If it's starving and parched, then it'll receive less money. Next goes for training. Dragons that are good in things are sold for higher prices because of how useful they are. This doesn't mean that a nice, cuddly, dragon will get sold for less because it can't do much, it could still be used for a pet! The third thing is personality. If your dragon is hard to handle it could be sold for less, unless on that day there was someone that wanted it. A dragon with a mean personality could make a great fighting dragon. A perfect personality is a hardworking dragon that is easy to be trained, but that's hard to get. Dragon personalities are hard to change, so I wouldn't worry about that one too much when selling.
For 20 year old dragons and higher.
- :
When your dragon reaches the age of 20 it can enter competitions. These are the same ones it can be trained for; beauty, strength, intelligence, ect. The basic ones show up the most. Sometimes, there are some special ones that show up, that aren't like the regular ones you may train for. This includes hunting, eating, and other various things.
From competitions you can earn money. This money depends on what place you get, and what money the competition offers. There is a possibility to get extra money, but it is usually rare. To enter one, you have to pay a small fee of what the competition says. Sometimes, they can seem too expensive or too low. If not enough people enter a competition within a week, it can get canceled.
For other needs.

Re: Hatchling Game!
(Thank you aero)
One day Kovgun was walking along the fiery volcano area that he lives in when he came across a baby dragon and there were no parents or anything for that matter around. So Kovgun decided that he would take care of the hatchling until the parents find him(they never will) so with that Kovgun took the hatchling that he dubbed Shadow to his fiery home. And to make sure that the small dragon didn't die of thirst or hunger put out some water and a 10 ounce piece of meat(how much do hatchlings eat) and finally to make sure that the hatchling didn't wonder off walked over to the entrance of the cave to watch over it.
(Shadow is a male hatchling.)

Kovgun watched the baby dragon his spot but when all the hatchling did was eat and drink, Kovgun tried to interact with Shadow(can these dragons talk.)Shadow seemed very timid when Kovgun tried speaking with him.

Re: Hatchling Game!
The day had passed and Kovgun decided that it was about time to feed and water the hatchling again but when Kovgun started to drag the meat and water he noticed that the hatchling was quietly observing him from the shadows. So if the hatchling was going to observe him and exenally learn by watching than he would show the hatchling some good things. And so Kovgun started to show the hatchling how to sneak witch wasnt to effective since it was still a small hatchling but Kovgun hoped it learned somthing.

Re: Hatchling Game!
And Kovgun noticed that the hatchling had some spots that were covered in ash and Kovgun didn't have anything to clean shadow as Kovgun cleaned himself by taking a dip in some lava(insta clean) but he had to clean the hatchling so how so he decided to lick the hatchling(this is ok in dragon society) and when Kovgun was done Shadow was mostly clean.

Re: Hatchling Game!
It was time to feed and water Shadow again and it was his birthday(sort of) but today was the last of the food so Kovgun decided to buy some later. So when Kovgun was done feeding shadow he took him too walk outside of his cave into the volcanic area that he lived in so that he could show the young dragon some of the world.
