He is also very serious when it comes to his missions he views failure as an excuse and chooses to not have it in his vocabulary.Though due to many years of training in the art of staying in the shadows he tends to not to not socialize and prefers to stay by himself unless the mission calls for something else.)

Appearance: (Night had pure black scales covering his entire body which blends into the night without any problems he also has silver/white spots on his wings to allow the secondary look of stars in the night sky.His tail is a bit long with  feathered like dragon tail fins he has duel eyes and wears a chain with the symbol of the nightwing clan on it )

Special Abilities: (He can switch his eyes to a redish blackish hued eyes these eyes give him the access to infared vision allowing him to see an enemys heat signiture and also allowing him to see the environment clearly allowing him to assess the situation and use accordingly.Though this ability can only be used in controlled bursts of 10 minutes each with a 3 minute rest period between each burst. )

(Shadow Defense:He can use the spikes to harden into a large shield of shadows which encases his body.This protects him from physical blows from a smaller dragon then him it would take 10 blows to the shield to brake if a larger dragon hits it it can take anywhere from 5-3 blows depending on their size)

(Shadow Fury:He can use the spikes to be positioned on his arms and and tail which allow him to stike his opponent causing him to pierce his opponent he can also with great energy throw these spikes which makes for an effective range attack)

How exactly can he clearly see the environment if it's heat vision?

This needs to be toned down to less usable time and more waiting.

If it was used on an EW, would it have the same time for the effect? Would it have the same for a SkyWing?

Also, is it just random chance that it's one or the other? Is there a difference between the breaths?

How many spikes can he create at a time? Do they get destroyed in light? How often can he create them?

How many strikes can they last for? What exactly can he pierce through? Can they be disintegrated by the sun?

You said he could use them in 2 ways, this is 3. How much energy does it take to throw? How is it so effective? What is the max distance he can throw? If they hit sun will they die?

Overall, you have too many strong abilities. Either take a few out of heavily nerf them all.

Weaknesses

You need some actual weaknesses. 10 minutes with a 3 minute gap in between is not a weakness, that is a lot of time with a little cool down. And with the shadows, he could just use his own. Also, you have him good at practically everything right now, which is pretty much making him a Gary-stu. He needs some flaws, something that doesn't make him unbeatable, something that doesn't make him perfect.
