Details!
Details are the defense and the offence of your post. Screw abilities, screw skills, and screw magic. If your details are weak those won't help you at all. A good way to judge if your post is detailed enough is take your post and stick it into real life as in imagine your surroundings changing around you to fit that of your post. If it's empty or only has a few things here or there and you aren't even sure how far anything is then your post needs more work. A strong post is one that feels just as alive as life itself.

No God-Moding/Power Playing
God modding/power playing is the act of controlling someone else's character or giving your own character things they shouldn't posses like a normal dragon suddenly saying they have semi god powers. There is one exception to this rule though, which is a little rule we're going to call vague manipulation.
Vague Manipulation
Vague Manipulation is the ultimate tool of those who know what they are doing to utterly destroy those who don't. It can sometimes seem unfair but is a vital part of making combat rp possible. To put simply Vague Manipulation is the act of inserting details where none are present. Every combat rp site allows different degrees of this. However with the model of Vague Manipulation if there isn't anything that is allowed to be manipulated than it ends up being something can be abused where being vague is actually a good thing that benefits you. For this reason the only rule we have on vague manipulation is be logical. If someone walks in and doesn't describe what they are wearing then one can logically assume they are wearing what their app says they normally wear. If someone walks in saying they are looking for a safe spot to hide but doesn't say where or how don't vague manip them into an open field. You can vague manip them into a place that can be interpreted as a safe spot while still bending it to your advantage. Use your creativity and if you don't have any work on developing it. Now if someone walks into a bar and that's it feel free to stick them freaking anywhere in that bar you like. If someone says they're dancing and that is it feel free to make them do the chicken dance as long as it's within logical reason.

No Meta-Gaming
Meta is the act of taking OOC knowledge or knowledge your character shouldn't be able to know and well having them know it.

Keep Posting Order
In combat rp you must keep a posting order. If a regular rp turns into a combat rp then each person that posts after determines the order in which people post. It would be easier to keep track of it you stuck the posting order at the topics first post.

Alliance Wars
In the event of a war between two alliance each person is only allowed to use one character from that alliance. So if you have 2 Imperium characters only one can participate in a Imperum war. After one week nobody new is allowed to join the topic. Its decided once on side is defeated or retreats. After one week of the topic being inactive the defender is considered to have won and the attackers considered to have retreated. In the event of no discernible defender both are considered defeated and retreated.

Combat Conduct
All posts are considered fact until contradicted by a later one. Only once it is your turn to post again is your previous post considered absolute. In the very highly probable event that there is a disagreement find a judge to settle it.

Results
After a combat judge steps in depending on how serious one may have received damage they will give the "loser" a choice. Either they can retreat or continue and risk permanent harm to their dragon. If they chose to continue they will be given the choice again should they continue to lose. They can retreat with the permanent damage or they can continue and risk character death. If at any point they chose to retreat the "winner" is not allowed to pursue or in IC terms could excuse it as they managed to evade your pursuit. Point is they must be allowed to escape.
