Brandishing the Flames

(Just realised I'm tiny. xD)

Balls of fire zipped across the sky. Behind them, was a huge FireWing guardian, expelling the red hot flames from his jaws. They sizzled and crackled and fizzed before turning into harmless embers. In the sky, his fun was like fireworks, as he weaved in and out of the fires and smoke clouds he created, in a series of roars and laughs. Spotting a beautiful patch of molten rock, the red dragon slowly dipped his wing, circling as he descended to the smouldering ground of home. Apollo's chest heaved with the effort, and the hot patch signifying his heart glowed bright. After he (surprisingly) softly landed, he slowly walked, heaving his heavy frame into the boiling hot pool of lava, to relax himself before he headed back to the palace, to take up his position on the gates.

He was a huge dragon. 60 feet long and 72 feet high. He had a wingspan on 88 feet. Rejuvenated by the heat, the beast hauled himself, reluctantly may I add, out of the hot spring of warmth. He sighed, and expelled smoke from his nostrils and wide jaws, to relieve himself of the heat. He took up into the skies above and moved slowly through the air, hoping that he'd caught the attention of someone.

~Ah ah ah! XD Viper's bigger. And if Viper is bigger, then that means both Xylnthian AND Shadowfire are bigger XD)

Xylnthian spiraled through the air, off to go look for some more resources. He was building a new invention that was supposed to be a type of trap for enemies, and he ran out of materials. A stream of smoke streamed up in his path, and he halted suddenly as to not get smoke up his nose. Looking down, he spotted a FireWing next to a lava pool.

Deciding to be the nice dragon he was (sorta), he flew down from the sky, landing with a thump in front of the dragon, towering over him. "Yo," he greeted cheerfully.

A loud whoop whistled through the air, and a burning pile of feathers fell hard into a nearby volcano, the lava flowing over the sides sluggishly from the impact. The source hauled herself out of the lava, a massive grin o her face, and lifted off, shaking the lava from her feathers. They had a fire/heat resistant coat on them-much like the water repellent oil on water fowl-but it sopped up water, and repelled heat. The lava slid off in chunks, and the dragoness landed near the other two dragons. Of the ones there, she was likely the strangest. And that was up against Xylnthian. She was a few feet taller than your average Firewing-primarily due to her long neck-and completely covered in feathers. But-in addition to that-she was a wyvern, with only wings and back legs. She turned her attention to the two others. "Heya." She said, blinking her striking gold eyes. "Did Ah splash either of you?" She asked in her odd accent. She hadn't meat many others with one.

IC: Coaxoch was flying slowly over the molten FireWing territory, letting the warm upward drafts warm her wing membranes. Her wings always seemed to be stiff and cold like an older dragon's after her ordeal in the ice cave. After floating on particularly nice breeze, she spotted three dragons in a lava pool. Feeling sociable, as her mate was away, she alighted down next to the trio. "Hey, guys! she said, settling down on the edge of the pool. She recognized Xylnthian and Asaya (from when she was found on the tundra) but had no idea who the third dragon was. She looked expectantly at him, waiting for him to introduce himself.

He slowly circled around and landed, next to the pool he was just bathing in. "Greetings. I'm Apollo." he spoke in a rough tone. The dragon looked at his counterparts, which appeared to be dropping from the sky, he half expected another to drop right atop of him. An awkward silence continued.

Asaya-once again-immediately branded the dragon with a nickname.
Stiff.
She turned to him. "Ah'm Asaya, tracker." she said, then cocked her feathered head at him, her long neck making her able to twist her head so it was almost upside down. This time, she just had cocked at a perfect sideways angle. Once again making her look more like a bird than anything else. "So..." She continued awkwardly, before she straightened and her eyes brightened. "Volcano divin' anyone?" She asked, referring to the sport she had made up almost immediately after she arrived.

Coax gaped open-mouthed at Asaya for a moment before comprehending what she had said.
"I love volcano diving!" Coax yelled. "I'm Coax, by the way." she added to Apollo with a smile. She turned around to face the lava pool and dove head first from the ledge into the molten rock.

The feathered dragoness shook her head pityingly. "No, no, no, no. Yer doin' it all wrong." She then grinned and reared up to take off. "Watch how a pro does it." She said, and took off. She kept climbing and climbing. A good several hundred feet above the lava pool, she fell backwards, and dove head first into a nearby volcano. She then appeared, shaking lava from her feathers before it could harden, and crawled from the pool and puffed out her chest. "Thats how its done." She said, smirking.

"No, no. This, is how you Volcano Dive. The huge creature shook his head before climbing into the air. He spat a jet of flames before him, setting his body on fire. He stopped flapping, and free-fell to the ground, like a comet, engulfed in flames. He landed with a huge splash, the molten rock leaping out of the volcano he landed in. Seconds later, Apollo burst out, and floated to the ground, the hot rocks falling off of his muscular body. "Ta-da!"
